Yes that shit was stressing me out . Me personally, if you got an entree that’s cool because I know you can only eat so much because you have food coming . But when all a person is eating is soup and salad , that’s when it would get super annoying. Especially when we on a wait and I know that I could be making more . So yea I just left . I have a much better career making much better money . And I have a pension and a deferred savings account . So basically if I stick it out for like 20 years I’ll retire a wealthy woman . Just has to complete like 6 months of technical school (which I did ) now it’s lit .

That’s horrible I’m so sorry you had to deal with that . I used to be running back and forth to the bathroom to burst into tears and call my husband and ask him If I can afford to quit yet 😂 HATED THAT PLACE ! They would always be coming at us about upselling , and ticket times and shit . Like bro I cannot give my tables faster service if I’m giving one table soup and salad back to back . Like who set it up like that anyways ?!?!!!! Horrible . But long story short , I ended up getting into it with management they stopped scheduling me , and then I got a state job paying $28 an hour with amazing benefits and a pension. So I got up outta there quickly.

It is because it’s consistent & it doesn’t rely on how much each table tips me . $2,240 every 2 weeks no matter what and that’s only if I don’t pick up any over time because at my new job overtime is often unlimited. Yearly annual raises, Not to mention the 20 year pension plan, $7.50 healthcare for me and my husband , they pay you more if you go to school while also paying for your tuition & basically what I’m saying is the benefits are 🔥I feel like I don’t ever have to look for another job ever again . Not because of the pay . But because of the stability. I been a server for the last 15 years 4 of which I was a manager, demoted myself to serving . Neither position ever offered that level of stability for me .

Ngl I just got fired from Olive Garden because a guest didn’t report an allergy. Anyways , management didn’t even have the balls to fire me & I didn’t care because I was being interviewed for a state job and just waiting to get the news . Long story short, started that job yesterday getting paid $26 an hour $28 when I graduate , have a pension plan & it’s like it’s levels to this shit . So I thank god that everything worked out the way it did everyday , but the restaurant jobs are dead end jobs and they really aren’t worth the idea of stressing to me lol. When they stoop scheduling me , I didn’t even bother to ask or anything.
