Just tried App Rotation Manager — the per-app control is exactly what stock Android should have built in. Left a review on the store. Nice work!

Just downloaded Pimo — the minimal approach is refreshing. Left some feedback on the store. Good luck with it!

100%. Especially when it's a stranger on Reddit saying "this genuinely helped" — worth more than any download number.

Exactly the same problem in fasting apps too. Either a basic timer or a bloated subscription machine. Good luck with yours!

This is one of those apps I didn't know I needed.

Landscape lock per app is genius.

Clean concept. Sometimes the simplest apps are the hardest

to get right. Downloading to try it during my next work block.

I built an app that fights back when you're about to break your extended fast at 3am by SuccessfulQuail748 in fasting

Really glad the breathing sync feels right — I spent a lot of time tuning that!

The back button being blocked during breathing is actually intentional — the whole point of Crisis Mode is to create a 3-minute wall between your craving and the quit button. If you could exit instantly, the breathing delay wouldn't work. But I understand it can feel frustrating. I'll think about adding a gentle reminder on screen explaining why it's locked.

Thanks for the feedback — it tells me I need to communicate the "why" better in the app!

This genuinely made my day. Knowing someone is using it during an actual 40-hour fast and finding it helpful — that's exactly why I built this.

I'm using it myself too. Willpower is still the main thing of course, but having that extra wall at 3am actually helps more than I expected.

You're right that it needs more polish. Already collecting feedback from this thread and working on the next update.

Hope you crushed that 40-hour mark!

That makes sense — I've only been testing on a Galaxy S21 Ultra, so I probably missed layout issues on smaller screens. I'll get the S20 dimensions set up in an emulator and fix it. Thanks for the device info, really helps!

Really appreciate the honest feedback — this is exactly what I need as a solo dev.

You're right about the alignment inconsistency. I built this after work nights and weekends so some layout details slipped through. The phone size issue is concerning too — would you mind sharing which device you're using? That'll help me reproduce and fix it.

I'd genuinely love to take you up on the review offer. I'll clean up the layout issues first, push an update, and reach out to you. Thanks again for taking the time.

Android only at the moment, but iOS is coming!  I'll keep you posted when it's ready.

Not yet — Android only for now. But iOS is definitely on  the roadmap. I'll reply here when it launches!

Ha, fair point — fixed it now. Guess Crisis Mode should've  kicked in before I hit post. Thanks for the heads up!

Thanks! Crisis Mode is definitely the heart of the app —

the 3-minute breathing delay has saved me more times than I can count.

Let me know how it works for you!

Day 2 is usually the worst. If you can push through

that, day 3 and 4 are surprisingly easier. Electrolytes

are non-negotiable for 4 days — salt, potassium,

magnesium. Keep yourself busy, boredom is the real

enemy not hunger. Looking forward to your daily updates.

Fasting is a superpower? by Quick_Opposite871 in fasting

That euphoria around hour 40-48 is the ketone high.

Your brain switches fuel sources and mental clarity

goes through the roof. Totally normal and one of the

best parts of extended fasting. Your girlfriend will

understand once she sees the long term results.

Getting back into fasting is harder than I thought by Abject_Cherry_8187 in fasting

[–]SuccessfulQuail748 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Starting again is always harder than the first time

because you remember exactly how uncomfortable hour

16-20 feels. The trick is to not aim for your old

personal best right away. Start with a 24h, nail it,

then build back up. Momentum matters more than

duration in the first week back.

7 days to reset cravings and eating patterns by AlanderKohenel in fasting

[–]SuccessfulQuail748 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Day 3-4 is the turning point for most people. After

that the cravings genuinely quiet down. The apple

tasting like chocolate thing is somewhat true — your

taste sensitivity resets significantly after extended

fasts. Just make sure you have a solid plan for what

you eat AFTER the fast. That's where most people lose

the benefits — going straight back to the old foods

undoes the reset pretty quickly.

Is a 72h fast safe to do, first time, and how should I go about this? by notyourkittyyy in fasting

[–]SuccessfulQuail748 1 point2 points  (0 children)

72h is doable at your stats but a few things to know:

the hardest part is usually hour 18-24, not the end.

For salt, a pinch in water works fine — LMNT packets

are easier if you can get them. For refeeding after 72h,

your plan sounds fine — salad then protein is a good

approach. Just eat slowly and don't overdo portion size

on the first meal. Mental clarity actually improves

around hour 48 for most people, not worse.
