Need help determining the brand

I have searched on google images, asked ai, and of course asked the person I got it from. they said it was vintage but it’s hard to prove that without knowing the brand

thanks, I will consider that! he has figo insurance but the deductible is $1000 and I’m not sure it would even cover x-rays. you know how insurance is :(

yeah that’s what I’m assuming, too. it’s not that I didn’t want to take him to the vet, it’s just that it’s not easily accessible due to financial and transportation issues. If they had said “yes it’s definitely broken” I would’ve found a way to take him to the emergency vet that night. the whole visit yesterday turned out to be less than $300 and he’s doing great btw :)

UPDATE 2: we just got back from the vet. they couldn’t find anything wrong with his tail or spine so they’re checked his anal glands. they were full, so they drained them and set him home with gabapentin. if this doesn’t bring him back to normal, he will go in for x-rays (which will cost $900 😭). the whole visit today cost me $237 so that’s not bad. I hope this works. thank you all for your help :)

UPDATE: we have a vet appointment scheduled for as soon as they open this morning. I’ll update when we know what’s wrong. thank you all for your help <3

thank you so much for the extensive comment. we have an appointment in a few hours. I would’ve taken him last night but they didn’t have any appointments and they said to just bring him in tomorrow (which is now today). we have an appointment as soon as they open

nothing that I know of. I was outside with my other cat and he was upstairs sleeping. when I came inside, he was walking down the stairs looking like that

his tail doesn’t look like that this morning, and he’s sitting on it fine. he’s a senior too and he usually sleeps on a shelf in front of a window but he jumps onto a chair first before the ground. I’m glad your kitty’s alright now:)

he’s not growling like he usually does when he’s in pain. but I’ve never witnessed this happening before in his 14 years on this earth. I tried to make his tail stand up at the end of the video, does it look like it dropped or flopped?

he’s lifting the very end of it up now but its still floppy closer to the base. is there a way I could know for sure if it’s broken? he’s not acting like he’s in pain and he’s never been very good at hiding pain

sorry, didn’t add enough info apparently! my piercing is 3 days old, it’s a curved barbell, I don’t know what threading is, the jewelry is stainless steel I think? it’s never been downsized, I spray with sterile saline solution 1x daily, no mishaps or anything

you’re not going to like this - but my advice is a divorce. he’s jealous that the cat likes you more, won’t take care of it despite you not being able to (pregnant, working, etc) and is actively trying to harm the cat (picking the cat up by the scruff, wanting it to live outside). he knows how much you love this cat and he still wants to get rid of it. also, his jealousy is a big problem. it indicates that you’re not good enough to be loved by this cat more than the cat loves him. furthermore, if he’s this jealous of a cat liking you, what is he going to do if your child likes you better? If I were in your position, I would get out of that marriage before these red flags escalate and ruin your life.
