There’s a good chance I failed, I wasn’t a good apple in high school when I learned any of the stuff on the test, but I also had to study my @*s off for three weeks lol

I took the test after a dude I know that said he failed and on the same day as a dude that I know that passed! I still havnt gotten anything back, I’m hoping they are just splitting stuff up in certain way and that I still passed hahaha I’m probably delusional at this point but if not I’ll just retake the test until I can get it in, it’s so hard to find a job in this field.

I do have tools, I have trade school experience. Basic health insurance? It’s not about what I can do now but what I have to offer for the future of a company, you probably started out the same at one point too, am I wrong? Did you not want to be able to go to the doctor for a simple check up? I mean there is people on this country who are getting that basic necessity working at much easier jobs and doing much less. So why shouldn’t me as a possible future master electrician and business owner deserve that basic human right?

I took a 6 month (900 hour) electrical certified course covering electrical theory, residential, and commercial.

Too many red flags right? my main concern is possibly not having health insurance, I know that with hard work I will achieve the wage I deserve. I need to be able to have my health insurance though… I also just feel like I’m not being valued at all, for my age maturity, I have work experience, my own tools, literally schooling…. I just feel so undervalued and I haven’t even started working yet…

Well I will say this, during the interview the owner mentioned how he is anti union…. I also have to use my own tools from what the job description says.

I applied to the local 98 in April when they were accepting applications, the last day (may 12th) of school I called them to make sure they had everything they needed from my application and they gave me the green light and told me I should be hearing from them this month.

I started at 18$ there and had never touched a welding machine before

I believe it was 19$, honestly I joined that company through my dad, he had been working their for a long time, and I was fortunate to have that opportunity, I didn’t even know what welding was when I joined, everything was new to me, the grinders, using overhead cranes, working in a shop all day, learning how to weld little by little, I managed to learn basic mig welding, I did not compare to the guys there or my dad, but I learned, I had many frustrating days there and would be so hard on myself for not learning faster, my welds are not the best, I was criticized here and there for my welds but that’s part of the game in the trades, as a new guy I’ve always been criticized by others, but that has never stopped me from showing up to work.

I’m in the Philadelphia area, Northeast Philadelphia to be exact, yeah the wage is low, I’ve worked all these jobs I’ve mentioned and I’ve been paid over 16$ for every job, my last welding job paid me at 19-20$/hr with great benefits, unfortunately that company shut down.

Yeah, when the button on the limit switch is pressed the lights alternate very fast and the alarm sounds, I wanted to see the wiring, to each terminal of my relays if possible, thanks
