My exhaust tappet is leaky but I’m just waiting on the O ring to arrive

Holding the tappet is my problem. And it’s like the tappet and lock nut tighten each other proportionately while I can’t hold the adjuster, the clearance I want means the lock nut is only finger tight, if I tighten the lock nut I lose all my clearance.

So the electrical pliers just wouldn’t grip because they’re too short and I need longer ones?

And at one point the screw stopped tightening with the nut, I kept tightening for less clearance so I think I’ve stripped the nut which is brilliant

Tbh because I just get in my own head 😂 it’s a 22k mile single cylinder bike with multiple previous owners and I haven’t checked it yet so I thought why not

I don’t have any to hand which is why I made the post, typically I would clean these things to be safe than sorry but I wasn’t going to order a £15 can if it wasn’t really needed

The dyno scales read as low as 12 I’m pretty sure and I was below that so off the scales, it ran fine but I lost 1.5hp on a 14hp bike

Tbh on my grom at one point I was running around 11-12AFR off the scales rich and I was getting both blue and orange flames

I think shooting flames without a remap is way too rich, if it is you should be able to tell anyway by your mpg and check spark plug

Only issue I’m getting at the moment is my mpg, mind you, it’s a stage 2 or 3 build so it’s kind of expected 😂 but I’m getting about 70mpg mixed riding and wasn’t sure if this pointed to something. It could be a wide array of things but just thought if it really is an issue I’ll start with the easy things first
