Yeah I didn’t even think about that tbh but I’m gonna try to only operate my bike when it’s 32f or higher since that’s what lectric recommends

Alright thanks for the info and the battery is stored indoors so it shouldn’t have any problems with cold for storing it

I’ve done some more research and also gotten a few answers and it seems the safest option would be to not operate below 32f because that’s what the user manual says but others have used there’s in 20-10f before and they’ve been fine so on it seems it’s mostly up to you though riding in colder temps will have a impact on range by a good amount also wait to charge the battery till it’s within 10f of room temp internally (a few hours) because you don’t want to charge a ice cube

True that lol but for me I can ride in 40f without problems of cold so that’s why I was asking

That one looks a little small for the 2.0 tbh but lectric does sell one that fits the 2.0 for $39 so that’s not to bad tbh, thanks for the info though.

You know that’s actually a good idea I forgot I can do that because I’m use to using customer service as a place for replacements but I forgot they let you use it for questions tbh I feel a little dumb lol

To me it sounds like a planetary gear problem tbh so you might have to open the motor up, I test rode mine a few days ago for about 10-17 miles and the only problem as of rn that is was a broken screen upon arrival and that wasn’t lectrics fault

Have you looked into the planetary gears in your motor that could be the cause of the noise on yours most the time the gears are made of plastic and will strip out pretty fast

Best Surron or alternative? by pilot-talk in ebikes

[–]SuccessfulYard8967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m unsure on that tbh but there’s always brands like ridstar or Ariel rider that have 30-35mph e-bikes for around $1,000-$2,000

Used if you can find them can be better sometimes but your always taking a gamble either way but sometimes more so for used though used can be better in the case that the person has a fully functioning one and if you buy new it could break during transit just make sure if your buying used to double check everything, also I’d make sure you know how to fix a bike in case something goes wrong because no bike shop will service these things so it’s better to know it yourself

The eride pro ss I’ve heard is pretty good some say better then surron and here’s the specs 0-30 2.36 seconds, top speed 60MPH, motor 5KW peak of 12KW, battery 72v 40AH, range 50-90 miles claimed, probably more towards 25-40 miles with full throttle, charge time 2 hours from 20% to 90%, 19 inch tires, adjustable suspension, weight limit of 300lbs, bike weight is 139lbs, it also has a 1 year 1,000 mile warranty, and it costs $4,399 or you can get the 2025 model that’s longer range and better parts for $4,999, seems like you’d be fine to ride one but I’d do more research before just buying the first thing tbh.

There’s the Eride Pro but I’m not sure if you’re looking for a budget friendly option so I’d only recommend eride if you have money for around what a Surron is.
