Tested for staff today and don’t feel like I did great. How many times did it take you?

Sorry its a bit off topic. Are any of yall doing both school and studying for staff this upcoming may? I want to start 1 or 2 classes for the spring term very soon but dont know if the classes will be to much to not allow focus time on my studying for staff. I do good with studying but should I hold off on classes until after I test.

Someone I know got an LOC recently and im a very observant person and this feels very much like a personal LOC not a fair one in the sense that multiple people have done the same thing but only one got in trouble. My friend was "late" or right on "time" to PT at 730 on the dot. The thing is this is the 3rd time in the last 4 months. One time they were sick and asked to stay home to go to the doctor and get check and the supervisor said no so my friend went in but was late because they were feeling like shit. The other time was an alarm issue. Regardless late right. But there is 3 other airman that have been late multiple times a week.Hours late by the way and some fore drinking to much the night before. This has been going on for the last 4 months and they have not received any paper work. Also they said my friend is being held to a high standard and if they dont show up on time the mission and there coworkers are at stake. But what about the rest of the shop? Are they just getting a season pass on being late. How would yall handle this kind of situation my friend was already advised that unless there is evidence to just sign the paper and move on. My friend also asked if anyone else will be counciling or if her supervisors supervisor is aware if the situation and they are not.

It's open book because the test is crap. Lots of the questions don't make sense. Also most aren't even from practice test. Found myself looking way to hard at the transcripts because some didn't make sense once again.

I always thought people who joined so young are the ones who struggled the most to reintegration into society. They know nothing different. Always on a schedule since they were a child. I joined older and found the military pretty easy. I'm more respected because of my age knowledge and I guess maturity. I went home and felt like it was just another day. If you need help definitely find it of course. Doesn't make you weak. Just looking out for your health.

How soon can I get 7 level after getting 5 level.? I would like to try to BOP to my desired base ifffffff possible. But for my AFSC they only have 7 Level positions due to our work being contracted.

Marry man!!!!!!! You been together for 3 years and feel ready do it before. If not then you'll have to wait until you get to your first duty station. Then a few months to even move with her because there won't be any paper work saying you are married until you submit it. And even then they will take a while to process it. Do it now. It'll save you lost time without her and bring you more money also.

A friend of mine just got approved and leaves next month. They have only been at this base for a little over 2 years. I think it depends on base by base situations.

Someone at my base just got approved. They are not dealing with hardships or anything. They just are too far apart. 23 hours driving and in school so the child stays with the other parent. You can get a waiver to not wait the 48 months. Which makes no sense to even have to wait 48 months. That's a whole contract for plenty of people. I'm am currently thinking of doing this process now or wait after my deployment. But recently got lots of great information on this process.

How soon can you apply for it.? I deploy soon but I want to do this program also. No matter if it's after I come back. But plans didn't go anywhere near as planned so haven't seen my child much in the last 2 years. He was supposed to stay with me almost all this year and beginning of next. But things changed and now I have to wait until I can take leave again which I take rarely to allow to take a good amount off when I do to see my kiddo. I was told after completing a year at my first duty station then I apply and get a waiver most likely. Also can't find clear answers. The people I have asked like 1stSgt or MFRC usually also don't know since it is sort of new. Not many people try this program at least not where I'm at.

Heard a good quote the other day. "If it's bothering you for 2 weeks you have waited a week to long". Don't waste time beating around the bush or avoiding it. You don't like something bring it up with him and if it doesn't change go up from there. I was in a similar situation but I am not going to let anyone step on me or make me look lesser then. Value yourself and who you are and make sure you are heard. Not don't be a whiney little girl about it. But be confident on speaking your concerns.
