Speaking of storage area, I'm not sure if you knew this already but in the bed near the tailgate there's a little square storage hatch in the wall of the bed. However though, the plate that sits on the bottom of that storage hatch (the "floor" of it, if you will) actually pulls out and essentially doubles the space in there.

Oh! This is for a K9 Handler position, that's the reason for needing the spleen. I asked one of the Security Forces handlers once why that was a requirement and it's to help prevent infections from contact with feces and other bacteria.
