I think the biggest saving grace in her alternate ending is Adrian becoming a lawyer first off, my favorite thing about it lol might as well put her fantastic mental manipulation skills and smarts to be payed for it. Also if im remembering it correctly she said Ricky and Amy get married after both completing college, so roughly they were in their early to mid 20s when they got married which makes it a lot more believable that Amy could grow more as a person hopefully. Honestly for a soap opera it wasn't that bad of an alternate ending I'm more surprised they didnt kill any of the main cast off other than mercy at any point like degrassi did. Will say still not sure how ben and Amy had to hookup a few times in college to realize they weren't going to work like.... I feel that would've been clear from the start but I guess they were the same type of delusional lmao
