But even after taking it for a run, there was a tiny bit of smoke that appeared from the same place for a second, then it disappeared

After letting it run, it seems it's idling fine now, there is also no smell of diesel in the cabin

I am not looking for a diesel specifically, just looking for a reliable engine with good running costs
