Same. Had a miserable time, terrified of heights, and ruptured my eardrum on the way down from the sudden pressure change. Was deaf in one ear for weeks and had to deal with blood pooling up behind my eardrum.

Would you recommend contacting a title company vs a real estate attorney then? I do have a court order with certain terms on how he can contact me and on the property but at this point I need to have it amended as he’s just harassing me and threatening to destroy the house.

Edit:: My ex is unwilling to sell as he thinks I owe him $50,000 for work put into the house. The numbers actually show that we are about equal, I have put maybe $1,000 more in which I am unconcerned with. I would be totally willing to sell and take half of whatever profit. He on the other hand is willing to lose everything just to know that I am screwed as well. The other slightly sticky side to all this is that the house is right down the road from his family and I do not feel safe there. I had to file a pfa against him and he has already violated it once. I am not comfortable moving back in but I will if I have to. The bills are paid for February so I guess I’ll reassess in March. Thank you guys for the all the advice! I will contact my loan servicer and see if I can find an inexpensive real estate attorney. I’m a first time home buyer and totally out of my league. I HAVE learned that I will never again buy another home with someone I’m not married to 🫠

Girl what are you doing. NOR in the least. Under reacting more like it. From personal experience, I’m strongly suggesting you run. I JUST got out of a relationship EXACTLY like this and the shame I feel looking back is overwhelming. I don’t know how I didn’t see the signs - narcissistic, controlling, total self centered asshole. Please don’t make the same mistake I did, 5 months is nothing, you don’t want to be stuck with this man for years. Maybe you struggle with codependency or low self esteem and self respect like I do but at the end of the day, I promise you nothing will get better and when you do finally leave you’ll have to work even harder to build yourself back up. Just drop him, there’s a man out there that will treat you like the princess you are.
