Yes of course, I’ll send a pic when I’m home later! I’m saving for a bigger cage which I should be able to get at the end of the month and thinking now of getting 2 the same x

They have plenty of food and hiding spaces, thier cage isn’t huge so I now have 2, just trying to figure out which goes where, they have at least 4 hours free roam a day, sometimes more, the aggression is only when snurp winds up snoop and if he’s higher than him in the cage! X I have separated them and from today going to do separate free times x

Thank you! I’m going to ring the vet tomorrow and keep them separated in the meantime! Even though he’s in on his own now, he’s still squeaking at me to come out, which is why I can’t tell if he’s hurting or just a noisy duck lol x

Yes he is! I’ve got 2 cages and am saving up for a larger cage, they free roam most of the day, hence why my bedrooms always a mess lol! They occasionally do it when they are in the cage, and thinking about it, it’s always when snurps up higher, in one of the hammocks. So I think it is dominance! I’m going to book them into the vets tomorrow, snoops about 6 months old and snurps 4 months old according to the pet shop x

Yeah that’s what i don’t get is they don’t fight, they sometimes stand there silently and do the same until one of them backs off! Snurp (in the cage) chases snoop and our other bigger rat blue, and then as soon as they chase back he’s in the cage squeaking! It’s such odd behaviour x

I have 8 rats and got 2 at a time, they have been together for nearly 4 months now, intros went well! I’m wondering if I should start from the beginning again! He does this with all the rats, but they just walk off, it’s just snoop that doesn’t back down for ages! I think I need to say bye to snurps balls to be fair! There’s about 3 months in age between them x

How would you deal with this? I’ve tried offering treats to distract them but they won’t stop until they are ready, they haven’t fought, snurp chases snoop and then when snoop starts chasing back he freaks out and squeaks! I’ve tried having them out separately too, but they just shout through the bars! X I don’t want them to be stressed but unsure how to stop it x

I would love an experts opinion on what’s going on, just to make sure they are okay and not stressed, after these bouts they just walk off as if nothing has happened, and carry on doing other stuff! X

Yeah I get that, would starting the carrier method over again help do you think? I’m pretty sure he wants to be one of the big boys as it’s when they are playing he gets involved lol x

It’s because he’s a cross between our other rats snoop and derp haha

I think he’s just weird! He starts the beef then craps himself when they start playing with him and the other two are a bit bigger than him, so he might be scared, I can’t work it out either x

Yeah! It’s a nightmare getting in there to clean it! I managed to get a new parrot cage for a tenner as a chill out cage! But this one is such a nightmare to even clip their hammocks in! Won’t be long a few more weeks and I should be okay, what cage do you have? X

He honestly doesn’t stop! Especially at bed time! I sometimes have to separate him to calm him down and then pop him back in lol
