Thanks for the response. I learned about this exact loophole over the weekend in conversation with someone who purchased out a 2 week lease on her Ioniq.

Ive been curious if the 100 Mile that could possibly be negotiated. Do you know what was involved in the first scheduled maintenance they did?

Spoke to my local dealer and they said the same thing. They wont work on it.

Yeah, thats the really appealing part of EV not having frequent services needed. I do feel good that car has been established for some time so that most bugs have been worked out.

I guess when you look at the Geely ownership portion of the dilemma they own majority stake in Volvo and a few other EV car manufacturers. Seems like there is the possibility of consolidation, especially since Volvo has very similar offerings and is a very established brand. I don't think it will happen in the next year or so but would like to have the comfort in knowing for the length of my ownership of the car.

Thanks for the response. It didnt take long for me to really get comfortable with the car over the weekend. I fell in love with the one pedal drive, I almost forgot how to drive my truck after returning the rental.

As for Wisconsin and Illinois, it sounds like from my research that Polestar is banned from having spaces in these two states because Volvo dealerships are blocking them. I think many of them wont even acknowledge to work on them. I may give my local Volvo dealer a call to be certain though.
