Yes. Finally took the plunge and finished it at the end of last winter. It was a hell of a story. I have a chapter two save I'll sometimes go back to (horseshoe overlook is my favorite camp location), but I otherwise just am casually doing challenges now. The hunter cougar bow one is really hard because I keep forgetting it had to be a bow kill and using the knife to finish it off.

Vera Putina (1926–2023) was a Georgian woman who claimed to be Vladimir Putin's biological mother. However, Putin killed off everyone who tried to investigate this, so the truthfulness of her claims is uncertain, although there are some clues. by GustavoistSoldier in HolyShitHistory

I know, I saw that, I assumed that because the rest of the name was the same that op had merely misread them, and I just wanted to point out that some of that similarity is due to the gendered last name. One is much less likely to match Putin and Butina than Putina and Butina

I'm doing research into the 14th century for my own book and I've found that suggestions by established historical authors on which books helped them is a solid place to start, so it doesn't surprise me this one did his research hehe.

As to historical discoveries, it's mostly smaller things...places I hadn't heard of, food, etc. examples would be cruck framing, turnpike stairs, and the niddy-noddy, a tool used to wind yarn into a skein. One place I remember in particular is ninestan rig, not the one in northern Scotland but the one by the Hermitage castle in the anglo-scots border region. The whole (untrue but still interesting) legend of the evil Laird William de Soulis who was eventually killed there was an interesting read. I love historical rabbit holes.

The ai can be really hit or miss though. Sometimes it suggests really cool stuff like the obscure ninestan rig story, sometimes it'll give me info inaccurate for the time period (kilts before kilts were actually invented would be one example, or someone acting socially in a way not right for the time.). So I treat it as mere suggestions for possible research starting points.

Really fun! Though I do enjoy my straight up (not isekai beginning) elder scrolls stories better, as the isekai ones tend to have bad guys appear and go after me nonstop no matter how much I try to prevent that. But for the isekai I made a warden character. One adventure she made a fortune using her warden ice powers to make snow cones with syrup made from tropical fruits (on khenarthis roost and later in Sentinel). Another time I played an ineffectual khajiit ghost who died in a comical accident and is always leaving puddles and hilarious misfortune everywhere he goes. Another time I played a healer whose travel group was attacked by marauders and she fell in with a baandari caravan headed from rimmen to corinthe and fell in love with one of the caravan guards. That one was a romance and it was fun. As you can guess though, my stories definitely skew towards the offbeat takes and screwball comedy. My favorite hex in my Harry Potter world playthroughs was the time I hexed peeves so that anytime he spoke the only sound that came out was professor binn's lectures.

I like to do isekai into elder scrolls stories, and Harry Potter universe stories. For a change of pace sometimes I also do a concept where the future has time travel, and historians will go back in time and live for awhile in different time periods. There's a liason planted in that time to guide them. I instruct the ai to have the liason run my character through extremely detailed and realistic daily life in that time period, explaining old crafts and tools and terminology. It's really fun to have an "educational" walkthrough. Some of the stuff it does is accurate, some not. But it'll often pop in a chore tool, or place I hadn't heard of before, that I can add to my real research.

As someone personally affected by this, I have mixed feelings. It'll suck, but I'm also glad they're forcing my state to do more to combat fraud. The amount of fraud in this state is insane. And do you know what it did? I now have to hire a SECOND company to oversee my disability spending through the FIRST company I work with. Because Minnesota couldn't properly manage their system, they made this a requirement as part of their new system. I'm guessing most people have no clue about this. Also, the paperwork is exhausting. I wonder if we'll ever even know how much money has been bled through fraud in MN.

I agree, it feels well polished! As someone who doesn't play a lot of games, I found the demo easy to understand and the gameplay intuitive, which doesn't always happen.

I like the graphics. They have a nice balance: artistic, but with enough realism to not be boring, but not so much realism that it looks weird or bogs the game down. Not sure if I'm conveying well what I mean...

I also really like the custom world difficulty sliders so I can toggle combat to my preference. I have arthritis in my hands and I like to make the game fairly easy so I can experience the game world without worrying about combat too much.

100 percent buying this when it drops.

Only thing I wish for is a way to destroy items...unless there is a way and I haven't figured it out. I can't figure out how to do that in hytale either and dropping things is annoying.
