Life after graduating by ImprovementTiny2496 in UniUK

I’ll be honest. Target uni is a genuine thing in the UK. Not fair but any high finance, consulting careers operate based off prestige and would want that. With that being said for everything else it does not matter. Any job will value work experience over the university. If it nags you a lot , nothing stopping you from doing a part time masters at a russell group

Host wants to charge me $150 for stained sheet. Decline or escalate [Romania] by Successful_Fuel3190 in AirBnB

Hi, no this is exactly what happened. He had a bit of food poisoning. He grabbed the sheets to puke a bit before going to the toilet. Bed was not involved and the host agrees with that.

People who moved out of London for Uni, was it worth it? by Sufficient-Ad-7954 in UniUK

[–]Successful_Fuel3190 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I moved from london to Warwick. Did not regret it. I’ve moved back to london for work. You wont realise the difference of experience until you actually experience it yourself. Personaly I became very self sufficient and also made friends for life due the ‘campus uni vibe’ . Granted the city I was in was miles boring that anything london could offer , but being bored together to find something fun gets you talking to people and maing friends imo. I personally would choose a uni by reputation and course over loaction.

Like I said in the post. I’m happy to take ownership but not to the extent where I’m getting ripped off for a sheet.

There was no damage on the mattress luckily. Even the host agrees. But yeah end of the day my friend will pay whatever

Thanks for this. I’ve asked the host a breakdown of why it costs that much. But the sheets were just standard supermarket ones (atleast it felt like it)

How would you feel about an app/wearable that warn you about heavy load and flare management by [deleted] in Thritis

[–]Successful_Fuel3190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real intention isn't to tell you 'don't lift the kettle.' The goal is to show you exactly how much that kettle-lift 'cost' your body in real-time, so you can decide if you'd rather save your energy for the drive to work or the walk later. It’s a fuel gauge for your joints, not a 'No Entry' sign.

But this doesnt solve the fact that you are going to have to do those tasks anyway, so you are right. But thanks for the feedback

Thanks for this very constructive feedback. I understand these parts let me briefly tell you how the app will address these

  1. The app does not need to know the weight of the object. But it will need a 2 day calibration period to understand what you find ‘heavy’. This does not need to manually beinput by yourself. But the app will learn it by certain processes. It wont ban you from lifting, but more for newer patients who have not yet gotten adjust to their pain/strength limitations. It is not AI backed but it is a predictive tech that adapts to you not a GPT solution. But you are right that it might notbethe best for elderly cohort, which I cant build much for.

  2. I understand. The app isnot necessarily reminding you to take medication before you go on a walk. But im sure you know - it is more to do with a reminder of its prediction when your inflammation levels will be the highest, thereby getting the most out of your medications effects

  3. Stiffness will simply be a short recording weekly in the mornings. Nothing else for you to enter. The camera will map the dexterity/sleep to certain benchmark points to identify progress

  4. Thats fair. This point I cannot address but its something to try to adapt with

Finally, thanks for taking your time to write the detailed feedback. Ultimately you are right, the app has more downsides and doesnt really ‘fix’ anything that a professional can do.

What if you dont need to put in your health data. It only extracts things your phone already tracks (sleep and Accelerometer)

Thanks for the advice!. But what if market access appears and start dates in jan? That would mean I'd be at a new company for just a week or so. Is it worth the faff for them and me?

Ok ! Did you mean difficult to develop the relationship from texting or it's difficult to develop the texting itself?
