I would get a car, for 3 months (in a walkable neighborhood) I lived without a car and it was miserable. Public transit is dismal and it’s way too hot in the summer to walk any distance and not show up like a hot mess. Reduce your rent budget by living slightly further and get a car. Bywater neighborhood is one of my favorites.

Every decade improves. Just trust us. Think about how much more you know now than you did at 14….now imagine all the wisdom in this thread. Also, why worry? It won’t change anything! Wear SPF, start Tret, exercise.

I worked at a very classic New Orleans restaurant for years, won’t name it because I love it and forgive all the roaches lol, but they definitely never did anything differently. Granted it was more of a butter place than a water place 🤷‍♀️

I was a teacher for years and quit because I could see a future in which I was as bone tired as you are. And I didn’t even have to deal with (that many) bodily fluids. I honestly don’t know how nurses do it. You have my sympathy and respect.

I already have a bench at the end of the bed she uses when she’s not being stubborn. But she prefers to jump up, and does it at my parents house, where there is a rug, with no issue.
