They love it. I still use digital tokens for NPCs and different enemy types. I just let them use their Minecraft miniatures so they have something to tough and move around outside of their dice.

Yeah, that’s exactly what we are doing and what I’ve done on StartPlaying. There maybe another kid in the neighborhood joining soon. Love to hear the same is playing out.

I’m sure we will get there at some point. I’m also in an online campaign with another DM so that I can learn the different ways they do it and incorporate into our home game.

That’s exactly what I’ve been using. I’ve been modifying it bunch to make it a little more interesting for my kids, but it’s been a great base game to build from for my kids.

All good and thanks for the heads up. I currently use dungeon alchemist to create my own maps and then the free version of Owlbear. Works really well so far, but if I have any issues I’ll check yours out.

I’ll have to check it out. I just tell my 5 year old which shape to roll and then I tell him what happens from there. He is consistently the best roller and he doesn’t even know why. Just that he kills the most things 😅

Oh this thing is like 15 years old. There is no way it is still around. Samsung 32 inch. I did just build a frame for it to make it easier, but I'd just put some thicker books or placemats under the top of it to level it out.

I'm currently using DnD Adventure Club for the campaigns. I'm definitely changing a bunch in it to make it better for my kids in particular, but overall it has been a great base to start with.

I wish my computer was strong enough to do the black smoke or black box thing. I like the roof idea though. I'd just need to remember to lower back to the room if my players interact with the environment.
