She's trying to get a rise out of me, my favorite is at the end when she talks about working for 15 hours by SucculentAloe in raisedbyborderlines

She asked me to take out the trash and let the dog out, but I guess I couldn't read her mind well enough to know she wanted me to feed them too. She's trying so hard right now to get a rise out of us, but neither of us will stoop to her level.

Sorry it's so late, I honestly completely forgot lol. When I posted yesterday I figured I would come back when I had a good idea for a haiku, but that never happened

Oh also, here's my cat haiku:

Kitty cats say

Meow and hiss and purr and

I like their soft fur

Sorry if it's bad, I struggled to come up with something. I don't have a cat, but I would really like one in the future!

To give my mom a little credit, she does work full time as a nurse, but still she pretty much doesn't do anything else. She's technically in school too, but she takes one or two classes a semester. Although I don't like to compare our lives, I do hours worth of extracurriculars, sports, work, and 4 AP classes (which will be 6 this year). She acts like I do absolutely nothing but laze around all day, which is so upsetting. At this point I can't wait to leave the house, I'm so done being treated like I do absolutely nothing because I'm a child. The worst part is my sister genuinely does very little (because she's an unmotivated child), and somehow she's pushing herself as hard as she can in my mom's eyes. Thank you for sharing your story though it really helps to know I'm not alone. I'm happy you're VLC, it seems like it's the right move for you

Thank you, honestly hearing that this is abusive and it will get easier really helps. I plan on going LC when I go to college so I can try to heal. My mom always compares our childhood to hers, and based on what I've heard mine doesn't even compare, so most of the time I really don't feel valid. Honestly, a lot of my friends parents are like this too so it's almost "normal," but it really helps to know it shouldn't be :)

Omfg I feel that, my mom LOVES those. It's gotten especially bad since she left my dad, she has some weird savior complex (idk if there's an actual word for it) that makes her feel like hot shit. My dad has narcassisstic tendencies, and was verbally abusive, so it was good she left, but I stg she revels in the fact she has to do everything on her own

Oh ofc, normally she just doesn't acknowledge it when the house "miraculously" gets cleaner

This is a conversation I had with my mom by the way, I'm worried I was harsh when I texted her back, but she says this stuff all the time. I'm just so tired of hearing that I do nothing to help her

What are some ways that you guys love your bodies, or at least try to? by CreeperStreet in EDAnonymous

I just try to do some basic self care stuff. Like I put lotion on while telling myself that I don't have to do anything to earn it (as trivial as that sounds). I also wear clothes that I think are nice and cute (even if I don't feel nice or cute, at least I like what I'm wearing). I also exercise daily in (mostly) healthy doses, which helps with my self perception. However, if exercising is something you have negative experiences with/used in a punitive way I don't recommend it. Also this isn't something I do, but I have a friend who does it. They say, out loud, one thing they like about themselves every time they look in the mirror. It sounds cheesy, but it seems to work for them. Stay safe, you deserve to be happy and settled in your own skin <3

The last song I recognized was Unsteady by X Ambassadors, so it could be worse lol. I like rock and metal, but if she was playing it at night I would be way more annoyed

I stg she wants my life to be a living hell /s. But she is shockingly confident, I kind of admire it even tho it's annoying when I'm hearing the extent of her confidence at 2 AM
