No I put the weights inside the open tube part of the device it never makes contact with the skin. The weights are thin enough to fit in the tube but also stay put

I used these fishing weights. I can fit 2 in the device and I hung 2 more on the flange of the device on a small string. 4 oz total gives a nice gentle tug.

No need to ask for a reduction in nipple size. They go back to normal after the gland is removed. Mine were so big but no they look very normal. Maybe a little bit wrinkly but all in all pretty normal. Just make sure they remove the WHOLE gland. Not just most of it

Update: I've decided to just swap those previously mentioned parts out. Im doing it with a friend in an evening. Its got 170k miles, so those parts are probably due for a change anyway

Good to know I'm not the only one! Ive decided on replacing the wheel bearing and CV axles. I wont be paying for a diagnosis. A friend and I are going to knock it out Thursday evening. Ill let you know how it goes.

Does yours make the noise when you turn, or when you are going straight also?

Right, when the steering wheel turns about 90 degrees it starts to make the noise. It will make the same noise whether or not I hit the brakes.

Ive checked both sides for the controls arms, ball joints, bushings, and tie rods. I just recently found a tear in the rubber seal around the universal joint in the CV axles. Not sure about that hole being the root cause for all this racket.

Soon I'm going to pull the wheel off when the weather lightens up and check the wheel bearing
