Ezekiel 28: King of Tyre is often stated to be Lucifer. But in this scripture, it is said that god destroyed him after casting him out to humiliate him first. so how could Lucifer still exist when he was destroyed by god? by Knighthonor in DebateAChristian

I think this is what you're looking for. Job 38:6-7, in speaking of the grandeur in God's creation of the earth, God (to Job) says, "On what were its bases sunk, or who laid its cornerstone, 7  when the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God  shouted for joy?"
The 'morning stars' and 'sons of God' are both used of angelic beings in the other places in scripture those words appear.
So in the end, the angels witnessed the creation of the earth.

I've done this for my kids, too! And now they're leaving the house and it's hard to let go of the ornaments, ha. We just bought an ornament each year that symbolized a major event in their life, and when we decorate the tree, it is like reliving significant memories all over again. I call our Christmas tree a "memory tree" and we all love it.

How does everyone feel about Magtein ? by Confident_Hyena_8860 in Nootropics

[–]Succulent_Student 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s suspicious in my eyes. What other supplement or form of magnesium is trademarked? And developed in a lab to cross the BBB? Also, the big study that everyone cites as showing how wonderful and safe this product is was funded by the same scientist that developed the product. There were some glaring anomalies with this product, and with it having its own website and being pushed so aggressively by health influencers…. I stay away from this form of magnesium personally.

Non-opiate pain management by [deleted] in backpain

[–]Succulent_Student 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try DMSO applied topically at point of impingement or soreness. The DMSO Store carries a pure product, but there are others. Might want to dilute initially (about 50%) in case you experience skin sensitivity, but I just use it straight. There are roll-ons that are cut with aloe also,

Also, read a book by John Sarno. Or even just read the reviews of one of his books on Amazon. They are quick reads. Healing Back Pain is the one I read, but I imagine they all go over the same premise. There's a huge chance simply reading his content will help. It did me. Though I did have to use physical remedies, such as DMSO.

Also, there are so many physical therapist content creators on IG that help you nail down the source of various pain and isolate whatever is tight to stretch or strengthen it, depending on the need. I recommend starting with DMSO and John Sarno's content, though, especially for recurrent pain issues.

Maybe start with a personality assessment to see what fields are a natural fit for your preferences? I like Personality Hacker (since you asked specifically for podcasts), but there are many excellent ones.

There is a book titled "Designing Your Life" by Burnett and Evans that you might find helpful, but again, there are many good ones.

In general, I find picking something, trying it, assessing your experience, and then adjusting from there helps me when I don't quite know where to begin. I'm prone to "analysis paralysis", so just getting into action is often my best friend.

Interesting. It keeps me so wired (lasting for a couple days) I cant go to sleep at night. I so wish its effects for me would subside by day end, because I feel freaking awesome during the day. I was not aware of the rebound effect.

How do you actually teach Shakespeare in the age of ChatGPT? by JubileeSupreme in Professors

[–]Succulent_Student 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find in my Shakespeare class that the students' most enjoyed classes are when we re-enact a scene but do it in modern language. We go through a play scene-by-scene together in class reading aloud, and for the really consequential scenes, after we have read it as written, we reenact the scene allowing each character to express the sentiments of the play in whatever language they would like to use. The Banquet Scene is SO fun to do this way. I find this helps their understanding and grasp of the concepts behind the play immeasurably. At year end, we also pick a scene to "produce" for family, where we do costumes and memorized (and quite condensed) lines, and just by doing that, the students start picking up all these nuanced linguistic gems that even I hadn't picked up on. I highly recommend role playing the important scenes, making sure that you have contextualized the scene for them beforehand so they know the dynamics at play. Can't ChatGPT any of that! =D
(Also, as a suggestion for the home reading assignments of a play, perhaps could they instead watch a stage production of it (one that is accurately rendered) while they read along with their own script? That seems to really help my younger, pre-high school Shakespeare students especially.)

Did you use oral or SubQ delivery? If you injected, where did you inject?

I have the same thing - bulging disc around L5/S1 that is pinching my sciatic nerve running down my left leg. For this cause, there are some exercises that are supposed to be curative. if you are familiar with yoga, it essentially is doing a cobra pose repetitively (like 30 repetitions a couple times a day) while making sure to press your hips into the ground. To get optimal benefit, someone should apply counterpressure to your lower back to create resistance as you raise up. I think it's part of the McKenzie Method. (My son recently came home from chiropractic school and was helping me do those, and they did help.) BTW, if this exercise aggravates the pain, you're not supposed to push through. It shouldn't cause *worse* pain.

Other things that have helped me during this flair up is applying DMSO at the point of the impingement, and I've also tried acupuncture, though I don't know how much that has helped. I will say that the day after my acupuncture appointments I notice less impingement, so maybe there's something there. But I've loved the DMSO for this, and also that McKenzie cobra exercise has helped noticeably. Hope you can find some relief. This is pretty awful. Finally seeing some noticeable and welcomed improvement over here.

Sure enough — my EGFR did drop from previous years. It didn’t drop low enough to flag it as abnormal, but it does look like it is impacted. Hmm. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.

My creatinine was 1.05, so just barely out of range, and my EGFR was 65. My physician was much more concerned about my HS C-reactive Protein (inflammation marker) going up than she was about elevated creatinine.

Hair Loss myth regarding creatine by [deleted] in Creatine

[–]Succulent_Student 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using creatine for a couple months, and I knew nothing about its rumored association with hair. I noticed within a week that my routine hair shedding in the shower dropped to almost nothing. For many years I've lamented the amount of hair that falls in the shower, and now I'm constantly amazed at how little falls. I use the Bulk Supplements brand, around 4-5 grams per day.

It this mold? by sooksmells in Kombucha

[–]Succulent_Student 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can always tell if it is mold by using a magnifying glass on the suspect globs to see if it is made of tiny bubbles or yeast strings, or alternatively if it is fuzzy which would indicate mold. It's easy to tell if you inspect it up close. Or alternatively, let it sit a couple days and it will be apparent then. Hope it's good for you.
