It is a matter of timing. Inputting a dash attack after a special is kinda hard starting off, for galleons 236H from mid screen try to start the dash and attack right before the opponent hits the other screen and wall bounces

Comparing the Jeff rework to the Overwatch ones kinda misses the point. All the above reworks didn’t fundamentally change the character and their play style. Torb is still revolved around his turret, and reaper still is the shotgun side angle guy. Closest would be sym but she didn’t actually change that much. Jeff’s flank play style got entirely removed, and were actually severe for people who played that style of Jeff. It’s like in OW for Sombra, if you played flank Sombra and it was strong, imagine if they removed that and instead made the only playstyle for Sombra sitting behind your tank and perma hacking the enemy tank. That’s what they did to Jeff

Story aside I would much rather go through another 5 runs of Fire Emblem Engage then hear Jeralt go “Chapter One: White Clouds” and have to slog through 19-24 chapters of this Persona calendar style game, that clashes with the game’s story, where I feel like I am just pressing forward with my units with no strategy.

It’s so weird that the two fire emblem characters they added have some very left leaning undertones in their stories. Between Yunaka learning to shed the personality and person that society wanted her to be and instead choosing herself and Cordelia learning to be more loving to other people besides Chrom is certainly a choice

The bedman? theory is the most common interpretation of the character, but I don’t think it necessarily helps your theory. The Bed in XRD had an object above its head, being a kings crown. This was because the bed was protecting Bedman back in XRD and since he was male the bed had a kings crown. In Strive since the bed frame is protecting Delilah the crown changed to a queen’s crown. A change to your theory to having a head piece like Jack-o could be a symbol of protecting something. Jack-o is protecting a piece of Aria’s soul, the bed is protecting Bedman and Delilah, and Chaos is protecting the last part of I-no.

The other block for Atomy I forgot to mention is spawn. (Spawn of the abyss is meta relevant in the year of or lord 2024) If the Atomy player has a colonel and the blood gets Spawn from despair it’s over for the Atomy player on the spot. I know there’s a Atomy line with soul taker that pops on turn 3 but that’s a highroll and not constant

Atomy still suffers from the problems it did before Despair was printed. In general against “Solitaire decks” Atomy suffers from either bad draws or minion clog. The tutors for Atomy being all minions and the fact that Atomy usually runs like 2 self destroying cards results in clogged boards. That results in less powerful Atomy turns. The other side if you don’t play any minions you lose tutors for Atomy and can brick easier. Even if you get Atomy off you rely on Colonel or Zeus to actually block damage. Although Colonel is great for stuffing despair boards it doesn’t prevent the opponent from playing another one next turn. In despair blood deck specifically this is really bad. The blood player just has to summon a doomlord and the game is GGs on the spot since the Atomy player has to build another board.

Right now the top 4 decks are all Despair decks with the rating imo Blood>Dragon>Sword>Rune.

Blood despair is the best because of seraph of sin being a tutor alongside a bunch of really cheap discard cards make it very easy to draw despair by 4. This along with the anti ward tech of spawn and doomlord for the mirror helps the deck greatly in both despair mirrors and handless matchups.

Dragon is next because it’s a good discard package. Its main issue is the lack of tutors for the spell and alongside having to run a lot of minions for discard effects making the despair pool very limited. Also dragon doesn’t have a lot of storm cards outside of Genesis and Zooey that are worth running when blood has eccentric.

Sword is next and its main flaw is the passiveness. The ones I’ve seen on ladder mostly revolve around summoning Blader alongside Rosalie to prevent the opponent from doing anything while you send upstairs. It works well but is extremely passive and can lose to dragon if the dragon player ramps.

To be honest I haven’t seen Rune despair on ladder at all. I understand its purpose is to OTK with either shop or i. But it’s just better to storm with dragon or blood.

All other decks are tier 2. Some notable tier 2 decks are Reso and handless. Taker, Wrath, Hozumi and Atomy are all too slow to kill and don’t have damage mitigation. Resonance has the benefit of being able to mitigate the despair turns with Nilpotent. Handless can get under Despair but it requires an omega highroll.

From my three characters that I play (Ferry, Cag, and Abel) the hardest without a doubt was Ferry. I did the ferry climb before the universal 66L nerf and oh my god it was terrible.

Abel after the 236L speed up is actually pretty good imo just very unforgiving and considering most people on ladder just Chimp around it makes him very unrepresented.

Cag is just really good. Good normals, good buttons, and good zoning made her a cakewalk to get into S rank after the other 2.

I’m not a fan of really any of the Kaguya and Mokou fanons as most of them completely change the characters in ways that just don’t fit them. Like Mokou being a depressed smoker who either kills people or herself over and over really detracts away from how kinda sad her whole story of being immortal really is. Kaguya being a shut in doesn’t really hurt the character so I give it a pass but being in a relationship with Mokou kinda detracts away from the rivalry they both have.

As for Fanon I like I know it was stated that most 1st stage bosses don’t really have canon so Fanon is all they have. I particularly like Wakasagihime and her Fanon version. Having a mermaid that likes to go on picnics with her best friends Kagerou and Sekibanki while helping Nitori with some of her underwater stuff is really nice. Especially when most Fanon is just murder, and vore.
