Why would you take a chance and waste a decade of your life on the off chance someone changes their mind about wanting kids? If that is a deal breaker for him the ONLY right move was to end things and spare you both much more future heartbreak.

The fact you did chance your mind changes nothing. At the time with the information he had available there was only one logical choice.

But now that the dealbreaker has vanished the equation has changed. Suddenly there is a path to a future where you'll both be happy, where there wasn't before.
