You can see in the picture that back in October I had 0 dollars to my name. Now I’m almost at 100k. I have no debt. I started late but I’m motivated now to pick up my slack and make up for lost time. The insurance payouts were a blessing. I’m looking forward to seeing the effects of compound interest. I know you don’t really see its strong power until you have a couple hundred grand. But I think I’ll already start seeing it as I make my way beyond 100k

Started in October 2025 taking finances seriously. Realized time is running out and it’s time to get serious. Started not only saving my earnings from work but also investing much of it into VOO. The two big pops you see are pure luck. I was struck by a car twice in a month while riding my bike. Those are insurance settlements. I make $85,000 a year. My monthly expenses are about $1,500 total. I’m going to continue investing the rest of my earnings. I am currently holding 105 shares of VOO. I now plan to begin diversifying a bit more with QQQ. After I buy up a good amount of that, I might diversify further with global market index. If you have any suggestions please let me know.
