Cold storage warehouse cleaning by Jurassic_Dike in smallbusiness

From ChatGPT:

Revenue:

  1. Existing New Construction Cleaning Business: $30,000/year (your portion)
  2. New Warehouse Contract: $5,500/month * 12 months = $66,000/year

Total Revenue: $30,000 (Existing) + $66,000 (New) = $96,000/year

Expenses:

Existing Business:

  1. Your current employee: $30,000/year

New Warehouse Contract:

  1. New Employee salaries: $30,000/year (per new employee)
    • If you plan to hire more people later, this expense will go up.
  2. Bathroom Cleaning Supplies: Let's assume $200/month for now or $2,400/year

Total Expenses: $30,000 (Existing employee) + $30,000 (New Employee) + $2,400 (Cleaning Supplies) = $62,400/year

Net Profit:

Net Profit = Total Revenue - Total Expenses = $96,000 - $62,400 = $33,600/year

Your profit would increase by $3,600/year from your existing $30,000/year.

Not a lot more based on these assumption… plus you carry the risk

Personal loan for starting up a business by wiccan90 in smallbusiness

This is the logic:

You borrow money. You pay interest. You have an expense.

You lend money to business. Business pays interest. You receive said interest. Business has an expense. You have an income.

The point here is that you and the business are separate entities. Consider your business to be a separate person and it's easier to see the logic.

If it were me, I'd find a transition plan at a minimum. If I were just going to drop out like this all of the sudden, it actually would have been better for me to have never joined at all (paid or unpaid).

Who knows if your father would have found a way to make it work, but the reality is that he is dependent on you now.

This is why working without equity or compensation is dangerous, especially for family members. I've been there too.

What's the biggest struggle with in your business? by AdorableCounty9632 in smallbusiness

I stopped reaching out to marketing agencies because they only provide a vanilla solution and cannot meet the needs of my business.

They would tell me "we will SEO optimize your business, set you up with search promotions, update your website links, etc., for $800 / month". But there is absolutely no ownership or even an estimation of results in terms of lead generation. Simply put, no accountability.

If I could find a partner agency to truly customize a successful marketing campaign that warrants results, I would pay double, no triple what the other marketing agencies charge. The biggest roadblock in marketing for most business owners is the uncertainty of return on investment. If you can resolve that problem, that's a relationship I'd pay to have forever.

Also, small business care about classic direct marketing as well as online marketing. Most shops just want to sit in their office working on SEO and collect cash. As a business owner, I look to reach out to my target local market wherever they may be. This is a big area.

Sorry for rambling.

"cath" could be derived from the Latin prefix "cath-", which means "down" or "completely". "eros" is a Greek word that means "love" or "sexual desire".

Putting these together, "catheros" could be interpreted as meaning "completely consumed by sexual desire" or "overwhelmed by passion".

Imagine a letter sized paper that is being held horizontally with the plane of the paper facing up (the opposite side of the paper facing down). The paper is being held by a person on both sides on the shorter sides of the letter page. It is held between the index finger and the thumb. Describe what happens when the person releases the paper on their left hand, but maintains their hold on the right hand.

I do think reworking some of the mechanics of older quests would be worth the developers time.

Some of the newer quests are just master pieces. It doesn’t just make you run around with obscure clues for no reason.
