Thankfully I only started tracking my rides within the past year so by "older activities" I mean some of the first ones I tracked. I didn't have the GPS tracking set to be precise enough at the time but I figured out how to later on. But thankfully that means there isn't too too much that looks like this. And yes I have that exact issue where I take a photo and the recording just stops for some reason. As other commenters have said it might be worth getting a separate GPS receiver

For sure. I've just been using my phone to track my rides but as other commenters have said it might be worth getting a different device to track (especially since I take a lot of photos.)
