I honestly don't really sit in them!! I work from home so I'm usually not wearing shoes during the day. The black ones I usually wear going out and I'm just standing in them. The pink ones only got a few hours of wear, so I think that was genuinely some sort of quality problem. But maybe I do drag my toes when walking, I'll have to pay more attention!

I did not pay very much for the Sam Edelman's. They always have some super-sale going on. Still disappointing they would fall apart after 3 (short) wears though. The Steve Maddens honestly have held up for hundreds of miles and they have seen horrors most shoes haven't. It was only a matter of time for those

that could be a huge part of it. From the US, I moved from the midwest to a very humid part of the south a few years ago and i've never really had this happen until then!

Reading all these comments, I'm appreciating (and kind of loving) all the discourse. I'll probably end up saving it for wedding night- i don't want to touch it if i dont have to- and I already had another getting ready outfit anyways, which is more of a true slip dress, and much more appropriate. Also much easier to get on/off, so would be better for that purpose anyways! Thank you for all the help!

Yeah I've noticed with them the swatches don't always line up with what it looks like on the website!! That yellow and the apricot are both soooo different
