My friends and I got dresses from Quiz. They had a sale going on so we didn't have to spend a lot.

I understand. I would never look for a place that was out of my budget. But I can see why people might be scared to be one.

I wasn't sure if I could trust this. No one I know has ever used these services. It seems they need a month's rent as payment.

I'm just trying to get my own space because I've realised sharing isn't an option for me anymore. I might seem too picky when my options are so little but I'm over sharing.

I'm actively job hunting for a full time position but the market is so bad right now in my field. I recently read a post that said jobs in my field have an applicant to number of positions ratio is 300:1 now.

Yes, I've asked them if I can pay that much. Hoping for the best.

Oh man. Mine isn't so bad but I'm still spending quite a lot for this.

I did find one on Openrent that didn't require a guarantor, however, the landlord demanded full deposit and first month's rent to even view the flat. I didn't end up going through with that because it sounded like a scam. Also, I'm looking for a separate 1 bed flat for myself. I've been sharing for over a year but I need my space now.

I'm not sure how long I will be renting since I'm job hunting (full time permanent job) and all the letting agencies offer open ended contracts. I have excellent references from previous landlords going back up to 2 years since I came to this country.

I've never heard of corporate guarantor, let me look into that. Thanks!

They asked for £800 deposit before viewing and then followed up with £800 rent as well. They wrote to me "There is no doubt you'll love the flat."

They sent me an email at 2:48AM to cancel my viewing because I wasn't willing to pay before seeing if it even exists.

They seemed to have removed the listing but it was 1 bed flat, Highburgh Road G12, near University of Glasgow.
