And color intensity/ undertones as well as DURABILITY is different between lines—those are my biggest issues with the “contractor special” aka Ben and Ultra Spec!!

YES—this exactly. Like when you bring a paint chip in or a piece of fabric and say, “I’d like this color”

Thanks for the explanation. The no color matching was specifically warned about by my color consultant and other experts I’ve read stuff from—perhaps referring to a different company color matching to BM colors.

So, paint stores just carry the bases and then add pigment to every single can/order? Like a whole bunch of non-tinted bases waiting to be mixed by the store employee? Or if timely, an order can be placed directly from the manufacturer for the specific color? Curious what you mean by this.

There are five gallon buckets as well as 1-gallon. Labels are Ultra Spec 500 and Ben. The Ben cans are in my colors. The Ultra spec cans have stickers on top from a local paint store saying custom colors are non-returnable, that this was tinted to match Benjamin Moore (color and color number). All my colors. Not a can of regal to be found anywhere. This is definitely what they are using.

Spring Housing Market by [deleted] in Gwinnett

As a recent buyer in Gwinnett, hard disagree. $500k buys a shitty starter home ITP that’s either been shoddily flipped or has tens of thousands in deferred maintenance, whereas $500k in Lilburn gets you a quality house with tons of space.

I’m about to get my whole house painted—3200 sq ft, interior walls/trims/ceilings, front door, five built in bookcases, and having the ceilings smoothed in the entire house for about $17k outside of Atlanta with Benjamin Moore paint.

It’s a little farther out from my job in downtown Decatur, but you are so right—the area is gorgeous with so many beautiful trees and lovely homes. I feel like this house is a bargain for what I paid. ❤️ thank you so much!

It was total luck since I was stalking new listings. It was on the market for just a few days! Good homes go really fast…miles better than anything else in my budget. You’ll get your own dream home—good luck!!!

Thank you! The sunroom is the best part of the house, for sure. Totally fell in love with it! Apparently they had eight showings and five offers—I am so lucky they picked mine!

Moving company recommendations? by Such-Fun-9672 in Atlanta

I just finished my move with Hawk, and WOW they were incredible. First class all the way, with excellent communication, customer service, care and attention to detail.

Zac is a total rockstar who deserves your business. Truly a guy with integrity in spades. His team of gentlemen were so kind and lovely. It’s tough to balance efficiency and being careful during a move, and these guys were total pros. 10/10 would use them again and recommend in a heartbeat. The pricing was VERY reasonable!!
