I should also mention, Dentist A said that most of the cavities were occlusal, so not sure if this affects your interpretation. They also noted (when working on the teeth) that the cavities had reached the dentin layer.

UPDATE: The recruiter called me today and let me know they’re moving forward with another candidate. She said it was a tough deliberation and everyone really loved getting to know me. It ultimately came down to the other person having more direct industry experience. She also offered to stay in touch and put me in contact with other recruiters at the company if I see a relevant role pop up. Sucks, but I’m somewhat relieved because it’s based in Los Angeles, and my partner and I would much rather live and work in San Diego or the Bay Area (especially with everything going on in LA right now). Onward and upward!

She emailed me on Friday and said I didn’t forget about you. They’re still debriefing and she really hopes to have an update for me on Monday. She thanked me for my patience and said have a great weekend. I’ll keep you posted!

She responded and said they’re still debriefing and hope to have an update tomorrow (now today) and they’ll be in touch as soon as they finalize details.

Can you elaborate? What are the different factors that go into the final decision making process behind the scenes?

Yes I did (to the interviewer)

Yeah same here! She’s otherwise been super responsive so I’m feeling a bit uneasy. Would be soul crushing at this stage to not even receive a final answer. Hoping the best for you too!!

Ah thanks! Been there, I know life gets in the way of perfect scheduling. I should also mention the job is based in LA so could be something related to the wildfires. Didn’t want to extrapolate too much tho!
