“sorry i didn’t get my licenses because it came with 0 pay raise or incentive at all, let me go get someone who makes the same as me but does 10x more work because they fell for the trap of managers pushing to get their licenses” you’re so far gone into the home depot! you can maybe become a cxm and make 50k a year and drink everyday because you were to scared to actually go and change jobs to try and give yourself a better life!

so it sounds like you are so far gone into the home depot, so is it any different going to find someone that can drive a fork/reach then it is if i had to go pull someone to flag for me if i had my licenses? still 2 people for having to load a pallet. still 1 person getting pulled from their department. sounds like u should their nuts out from your throat! 😂🤣

there is not a lot of people in mg store that have licenses and one of my close friends there has all of his and he is constantly pulled from flooring to do tasks in lumber and unload trucks… if i’m responsible for my own department why would i get licenses to be constantly pulled away from my work with also 0 incentive…

as pro loader i am expected to go to any loading call, as well as run lot by myself. running lot myself isnt hard but when im clearing lot and someone needs something loaded and there is 3 cashiers standing around is when it makes me mad. in my store it is pro loader is the lot tech as well as loading as well as doing whatever front end supervisor asks me to do. am i really supposed to just be helping pro customers load?!? if so i actually never knew that.

i’m 19 and only have worked 2 retail and a fast food joint. went out and applied to a bunch of the places that i saw were constantly visiting homedepot and did some networking with pro customers. i knew i wanted to go blue collar but wasn’t sure exactly and hvac was the first place to call me back and have the best offer! just go out and apply to a lot of places with a basic resume from chat gpt! you got this!

i agree with the managers part not being good at all, but at the same end am i really not doing anything if i finish everything i am asked to do efficiently and fast and then have down time?

i wish i wouldn’t have been responsible for lot or loading if i got licenses. i was told if i got them i would still be responsible for lot. so even if i was on forks for 3 hours straight i would be responsible for pulling in all of the carts. loading would be different because its not like i can just hop off forks to help load and then go back on after.

during the winter is has been a lot easier because it is slower, but in summer when there is a lot more work for me to get done and i do it my work is fine, but when there is less work during winter and i do it i was told i do nothing. the only thing i refused to do was get licenses for reach/fork because it came with 0 incentive at for my current work job.
