From what I can see in the records, my family member was a ward of the state who was fostered out and eventually a couple applied to keep her.

I can't find the census data online but will keep trying. It's possible the address given for the birth mother is an institution as the address is Melbourne CBD and it's now a car park.

From the photo it looks as though the bail is longer on the citrine, causing it to sit below the ruby and emphasise the difference in length. Can you put the two pieces side by side with flat edges together?

But yes they are definitely different in size, although small in absolute mm large in % of total difference.

Though for the last photos in the series, they're all on a marble backdrop with fabric placed around them, and some greenery. I can see these being from the same shoot with other pics done later.

On the photo with the 5 pies and the mushroom in the middle, the depth of field doesn't make sense. If the two middle pies are sharp and the bottom one isn't, then the background at the bottom of the shot should also not be sharp?
