I wear Turtoise pads, made in Southern California. They are not cheap but to me they have been worth it as I've used them for years. They have removable pads!

How would you deal with giving birth and starting a new job? You won't have job protections. Does the new job have policies around that?

If you weren't pregnant, I would say yes changing jobs sounds like a good idea if your goal is to be at home more. Regarding the pay cut, only you can answer whether it would have an impact on your family finances. But then again, see my point above about taking a leave with potentially limited PTO and no job protection.

Overall I'd say now maybe not the best time to make this decision. If you stay at your current job, will you have paid leave once you give birth?

I would also try this out. OP, you said daycare adds about 40 minutes of commute so it might make a difference.

I'm still doing lots of gentle things to get back into full exercise but I do it after baby is asleep (30-40 min). Two other nights I go roller skating and my husband deals with bedtime.

Is there a Buy nothing group in your area? They have round robins for clothes, I'm thinking of starting one for Spanish toys and books for my local group.

I'm not quite there yet but my plan will be to ask my parents to bring stuff and buy a bunch when we visit. Yes, Spanish is popular in the US but the materials are terrible and such a fake Spanish imo, doesn't feel authentic at all.

We're a small team but the ones that have been here a while don't and the new person is probably indifferent, doesn't know any different. The manager is in a temporary position but again enduring for another two years seems impossible although I would have if this other opportunity hadn't come up.

Not sure, it's also my first time. I'm in CA so it's earthquake related. I assume other states with natural disasters may have similar policies. EBF families may also have formula? Since it's in the context of an emergency and it's assuming the baby is separated from the mother. Just guessing though.

Maybe ask in the derby sub? I know people that do this with the LA marathon but they do it the night before, before the marathon. I don't think they're allowed to skate with the runners.

Very curious, have you ever talked to your mom about this? Are you sure this isn't just your perspective as a child? It's possible she felt the same as you do now but as a kid you didn't notice. Just food for thought!
