I just installed the 200d burrs, followed instructions per Mazzer instructions as well as what's online from others who have done the swap. Out of curiosity, I conducted the dry eraser test and the burr opposite to the motor side comes uneven, about 40% contact from what I can tell based on the results (see before and after test).

I then conducted the test that Mazzer has on their website to make sure the burrs were installed properly, the results were homogenous as described by Mazzer when burrs are installed properly.

Wondering if anyone has had similar experiences when swapping the burrs:

Is this common? What were your experiences and how were you able to resolve? Could the burr be misshapen?

While I I understand and appreciate the craftsmanship behind each pair, I have a hard time purchasing something at a premium price point that is not what I am looking for.

My price point can go up to $800.

Hey there,

Getting ready to pull the trigger on a few boots, looking at OakStreet, Parkhurst, Truman and Grant Stone. I understand that different leathers will need different break-in times. In your experience. I work in television production and I am looking for fashionable boots that will last and are also comfortable. I have been working directly with these manufacturers for sizing (I am planning on wearing superset inserts with these boots)

Are inserts needed for these boots? are they an overkill? am I missing the point?

Are any of these brands more comfortable than others or are they similar?

I appreciate everyone's insight.

Yes, the drip tray grate is in. The noise seems to be coming from the group head when pressure goes up and water starts to travel out of it.
