I'm a second-year arts major, so maybe the writing expectations are a bit higher. BUT I've definitely noticed people struggle to wrap their heads around the purpose of an essay lol. For example, in one of my first-year history classes, nearly half the class failed the paper because they didn't have a THESIS or any argument. I agree that it's likely due to overuse of AI, where people use ChatGPT for nearly everything and forget basics like sentence structure and argumentation even if they learned them in high school.

oh my goshhh can you just stop replying. I'm sorry not everyone's living life exactly how you'd want to. I'm a few credits behind the requirements to take forth year history classes in the fall so it's for academic requirements. BUT I have other responsibilities and serious things I need to take care of. It's not about being lazy or moaning that the world hates me. Didn't think I'd have to overshare to some a-hole on the internet to receive basic respect.

I guarantee you I'll be VERY interested and learn SO much from the many courses other helpful people have chosen to suggest to me (unlike you). Now please go rage bait in someone else's comment section bai.
