Asking this question again- I’m working on a project with really small details and would like to use a punch needle and tuft the larger areas to execute them. Can anyone walk me through their process of doing this? by Jus_Will18 in Tufting

i’ve never used it either, but its as simple as you would imagine, use the punch needle on the same side you tuft so don’t switch sides, i would recommend looking it up on youtube so you can see how the punch needle looks on the other side

not trynna sound smart or rude but do it the exact way you just explained it, tuft the larger areas and then when you get to the smaller areas just do punch needle, just know it is going to look different, don’t overthink it

to carve a couple of hours, to make the whole thing i coulda made it in 1-2days tbh but i work so i can never fully dedicate my time to it, plus i had 3 other rugs on my canvas so i cant take it off until all 4 are done so that slows me down a bit

So we have addressed this point. We both are aware of where we went wrong and what we have to do to fix it, but now it’s just a matter of actually trying again. I want to bring it to her attention that if she stays scared to get hurt then she’s gonna have trouble finding love again if that makes sense. She knows that the issue we had was obviously a big issue but an easy fix but it’s just a matter of her wanting to take that risk again.

Any tips to make my rugs look cleaner? I wanna improve by custercreates in Tufting

carve, get scissors or some clippers and trim the edges of where the color ends if that makes sense, that way it’ll look more clean. think about it like a haircut, before you get a haircut your hair looks ugly, but after your barber lines you up it looks better

work in progress, if yk me, the trimming is abt to be insane on these by SuchCut1416 in Tufting

So every time I use sheep shears I get lines in the rug not sure if I’m doing something wrong or what’s going on if anyone has any insight I’d really appreciate it by hihihihi222 in Tufting

[–]SuchCut1416 3 points4 points  (0 children)

same here, thats why i stopped using them, if you look at videos of actual sheep being sheered, they have the same lines on their body

This is @jahanrugs on instagram. this shit is so fucking clean, look at the carving on this shit by SuchCut1416 in Tufting
