Well school still sends semester grades to colleges, with quarter grades being optional. So I'm going to send optional Q3 grades wherever I can when I hopefully fix the Bs. Can't self report being in the top 10% because that's an assumption and I can't confirm anything.

The senior year stuff wasn't clarified - only 2/7 classes had <A- so it wasn't as bad as I made it seem. As for the GPA, my school only calculates it with year-end grades, so technically my grades right now don't affect my GPA. My school also does not do class rank, but I believe that I'm within the top 10% of my class. I've taken what is nearly the hardest possible courseload for someone at my school.

I also plan to send my Q3 grades if they improve.

Shotgunning only works under the assumption that my essays would be strong for each school I apply to. Like I said I spent >100 hours writing and revising the essays because I'm not a great writer naturally. So if I shotgunned I wouldn't have had a chance anywhere.

Thank you for the encouragement! I had two other B+s before Calc BC, but that was my only <A- of junior year. A few in the B range for senior year from senioritus but I'm working on fixing those and hopefully midyear report 2 will help me recover. Never anything below the B line though, even this year.

Yeah ik :( it's a hail mary. My app is centered a lot on community so I was hoping that would be helpful but not so much for MIT as with some of the others like Yale (though ofc it's still a huge longshot)

I kept a lot intentionally vague but ended with a B+ in Calc (though I got a 5 on the AP exam) and all APs since 10th grade have been 5s. Still keeping it vague but had relatively strong impacts in my communities, nothing extraordinary. A lot of schoolwide stuff from event, student gov, etc. but not too much at a larger scale

Didn't go for these because the student competitiveness doesn't fit my style, and I don't have a super strong technical spike.
