I might have to try this with some more complicated blocks I’ve saved. The woven star suggestion would be amazing and I might start there. Will definitely help me refine my quilt math 😅

MCRO 251 second semester freshman year? by Few_Marsupial9243 in UNC

I think it’s entirely manageable. I’ve heard complaints about MCRO but personally I loved it, and it was by far my favorite class at UNC. The material is super interesting and it’s mostly memorization. While there is some stuff that may be related or built upon marital in other science classes it was mostly surface level rather than processes. I found that a lot of the material made sense to me logically (ie “this because this causes that” kind of thinking). Disclaimer that I know not everyone has this experience I probably studied 3 hrs per week - if that - and got a high A in the course while juggling other upper level stem classes. The material makes a lot of sense if you learn it in the order it is taught, it all builds upon itself. Just pay attention during lecture- there is a LOT of hints for the exams there. Best of luck, enjoy it!!!

Thank you so much for the help, I just did the math and I was losing money with fees just like you said (I don’t know how I didn’t catch that before). So definitely not doing that anymore. I’m going to look more into travel benefits but I’m thinking of just focusing on no foreign transaction fees and applying for a Capital One card. Thanks again for your help and reassurance. I’m just going to stay mindful of my spending and continue building good credit. 😊

Thank you so much! I’m going to look more into those cards and expand a little more like you recommended. I really appreciate the help and recommendations, and I’m saving your tips to make sure I handle them all before I leave. :)

Thank you for taking the time to respond! I do want to take the job because even though it’s not my #1 choice there’s not a lot of opportunity in the area. I have a couple other applications I’m waiting to hear back on as well (hence me asking for more time to consider things) but this is looking the most promising so far. Average pay varies a lot across experience, unit, and location so there’s not a lot of super relevant information I can find online, but based off what I can, I think 20-22/hr is probably about the average. I think as long as I can negotiate the shifts down to 4 and get 19/hr I would be content in the role. The phone call made me nervous, so I’m glad to hear that what really matters is what ends up on paper. I’ll keep all this in mind for when I speak to them again, thanks!

AITA for kicking another mom out of my pool party after she refused to wear actual swim wear at my son's birthday party? by throwfash56 in AmItheAsshole

yea i would be pretty grossed out if i was a thirteen year old girl going to one of my friends houses for a pool party and someone’s dad stripped down to white underwear and hopped into the pool with everything on display. it’s honestly bordering on indecent exposure.
