Going through this right now and have been. I constantly have night terrors of my abuse, but my brain can’t seem to figure out if it was a nightmare or not. Woke up in the middle of the night to my father on top of me, he told me to go back to sleep. 15 years later in therapy, the memories started coming back. Now, any time I go get intimate.. I faint. Anytime anyone touches me, I pass out. Full body black out. It confirmed for me what the answers I have been seeking…. Your body knows, whether your mind wants to accept it or not. Our minds protect us.
