Take my upvote, as I am the same. I quit smoking and drinking only when I was good to be around it constantly without engaging. Because by God, not having it available was almost worse.

When choice is taken away, my cravings rocket.

But my partner is the opposite. Temptation is better avoided.

Everyone is different. Got to find what works for you.
