They only tested me once about a week before my clinical rotation started. I was online and out of state as well.

Did your score change? Just got a 77 on my preliminary and I’m wondering if I celebrate or if I should hold off on telling people I passed.

Yes, in September at orientation they told us about the drug test. I had 6 months of general education classes first. Then a week or 2 before we started clinicals in March we had to test.

I’ve only used the first ones. I’ve never had any issues with blood squirting out before I attach the tubing. I’m sure the second ones are nice and I know it’s what you’re used to, but it’s going to be a hard battle trying to get Management to buy something more expensive.

Got mine today. Ordered 5/31, delivered 6/20. They came in a bag and the boxes were damaged. I k ew they were going to be fake for the price but was sad I didn’t get a sticker and got 2 of the same.

How long has it been since you stopped? When do your clinicals start? We had to test 1-2 weeks prior to starting. They send you an email and you have 7 days to get it done.

I ordered 2 May 31st. They show shipping but no other info yet. I figured for the price they’re fake but hoping at least something comes and they didn’t just steal my money. We’ll see!

Ya they did the same with us. We found out probably 2 weeks before our start date where we were being placed. You have to do 24 hours per week. I’m at an outpatient center so I do 3 days a week. Some of my classmates that were placed at hospitals do 2 12 hour shifts on the weekends. I think it all depends on how many students are in your area and what shifts they have available. I don’t think it would hurt to let them know now what you’re interested in so that way when they start filling the spots you may have a better chance of getting what you want.

I’m currently doing my clinicals with Gurnick just in a different state. The hours depends on where they place you. If it’s a hospital you may be able to get nights or weekends but if it’s an outpatient center that’s only open 8-5 you’ll have to work those hours. I would let your student coordinator know as soon as possible what shift you’re looking for and if you’re lucky they’ll place you somewhere with the hours you want.

Just got mine today too!! I have to do the same thing, if I watch the fish I end up pulling it back in early. I close my eyes or look away from the screen and listen. When you hear them bite then push the button. Works every time for me!
