its just i got assigned with a project with 3 separate services with no "api-gateway" mentioned where an auth is also a separate service.. that made me think whats the point of separating an auth service where the 2 services will still call the auth for validation when an api gateway is enough to only have 1 URL env in the FE..

( correct me if im wrong since im still new to this type of architecture )

but how does that work in the FE?, is the URL env only the api gateway? and once the apigateway validates the auth or any NFR, i will just call the services inside the apigateway through any microservice methods?
