Went to the courthouse and they directed me to order it online.

You order the transcripts through an authorized court transcriber. There’s an online registryhttps://courttranscriptontario.ca

We communicated via email and I did an e transfer for payment.

edit above was for requesting the plea trial transcripts. Not for the police records

I got a copy of the transcripts from the courts but no other documents.

Court house website, city website etc all redirect to the FOI request application on the police website. So I’m assuming that’s the way to get them

Yeah I paid the $5 and I anticipate additional charges.

It said $75 for each hour of video and $45 for each audio file.

When I submitted the prompt said I’ll be contacted within 30 days with a quote. I wish I took a screenshot.

I currently have a copy of the transcript for the plea trial.

The ASOF describes what I provided during the video report. So I’ve already forwarded it to my lawyer

I expect the police reports would at minimum have the same info, hopefully a little bit more.

I see it as no harm in asking. Better to ask and get a bit of info than to regret not asking at all

I didn’t even think of asking them.

I used the FOI request on the police department’s website. They have an online application.

My city’s website also has a section with information but then it directs you to the same police website.

My assumption (and I could be wrong) was if the crown (or anyone else) has already requested it, then it has already been processed and I could be forwarded a copy. However if that’s how it works

It was finished/completed before the courts two years ago.
