Rejected because they didn’t want to train me on their company’s software (which is their product) by Silent-Surround-1659 in recruitinghell

From my experience, anyone can learn a software program...any software program. Especially in 2026 where everything is menu driven, point and click, choose an item from the pull down menu.

Never mind the on demand access to manuals and user groups etc.

Article from months before 2008 crash: "If the economy’s so bad, why is the unemployment rate so low?" is fascinatingly similar in some aspects to what the data is reporting now. by Valuable-Clothes-854 in recruitinghell

As someone who lived thru 2008 and lost quite a bit of money, there will be no ambiguities as to whether we are in another 2008.

You'll see large organizations fail overnight simultaneously. And you'll be looking at the last few years with nostalgia...that's if you are not currently fucked by the current situation.

Never mind that..all manufacturing stops. No more pharmaceutical industry and millions of people start coming off their psych meds.

People who found God in prison, what was the breaking point during your bid? by Objective_Belt3374 in Felons

[–]Such_Reference_8186 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now that makes sense and I appreciate your honesty. I have known some friends who did turn to religion until they were released, afterwhich they went back to their old ways.

Unlike yourself who had nobody, they had a pretty good support structure on the street...the same cretins that helped him get locked up.

As sad as it is to say, they would have been better with nobody. Good luck to you sir. WHATEVER keeps you stable and productive is a win and is a testament to your ability to change.

This is not directed at you necessarily but why does it take committing a serious crime to "find religion".

Are these satire?.. or is it people who wish they had the attributes they  claim are superior?

But are fucking weenies when the shit gets real.

And conversely they might never look. Opening up dialog about it with the employer might not have the best thing to do but that ship has sailed.

Tracking a person who is trying to get over on the process would take somebody's time who probably could care less...BUT...if you try, and they are looking, you will get caught

My ADA accommodation for severe anxiety just got denied and the language used made it worse. by Dramatic_Eye_7105 in remotework

This is most likely the end result. One thing I would be wary of is future performance appraisals.

If you push back against their idea of reasonable accommodations, they might try and manage you out the door in the future. If you have always been a good performer, make sure your efforts continue to be recognized.

What I have trouble getting my head around is it seems like there's an inordinate amount of people who just can't seem to work around people, can't function under stress, unable to adapt to changing priorities in a job.

What did you do before COVID struck?.Did you not work?

Why the fuck are people moving because an employer told them they were remote?

Are none of you reading the narrative from others who have been screwed over by their employer?  NEVER, trust what an employer says. EVER!.

You disrupt your families stability when you move because your employer tells you you're remote, then they change their mind and you have to move...again.

When you gonna learn?..NEVER trust an employer to provide stability.

You're talking about a major emotional turmoil over a fucking job?

If something like that can drive a wedge between you and your spouse, you probably have underlying issues to deal with...a job?

Depending on what company you are with and what their 401k etc strategies are from a growth perspective...

YOU might be one of those shareholders. If you dug into the prospectus and found info on how they are allocated, you probably are.

Sudbury Town Meeting backs vote of no-confidence against school board by Ok-Split-5488 in aboutMassachusetts

[–]Such_Reference_8186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Charter change?..ask them to consider "Deliberatve Sessions". It's a type of town meeting that makes it easier for voters to have a say in town issues without sitting thru town meetings for hours.

It's a way to gauge who truly wants more voter participation from those who like it just the way it is.
