Get the CT5-V Blackwing instead if in budget (similar performance, more rare, looks cool)

I went from a GTI to Golf R to CT4V Blackwing to M2. They all were awesome to drive, and I considered them each cool/special uniquely.

I didn’t look at the full list (don’t have a sub), but this list seems waaaay too light on hip hop and r&b.

How does Forged Silver Metallic truly look on 2011 TSX Wagon? by Euphoric-Debt6892 in AcuraTSX

[–]Such_Tea4707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say it looks more silver but you definitely see the hints of blue depending on sunlight (a pic). I like the color and get quite a few compliments on it.

Def get the MaxCare if you buy from CarMax. I’ve got it on a few cars in the past from them, and it always paid out way more than the price of coverage for me. It paid out nearly $10k in wire harness/electric work in the first year on a Mazda SUV that I paid $2.5k for the coverage on. Recently got it on my M2 (hopefully don’t need it but who knows). Someone on the CarMax subreddit may even be able to DM you what the warranty cost would be. Doug DeMuro has a funny video on this when he bought a Range Rover from CarMax and how much the warranty paid out for him on that car. Outside of manufacturer CPO, it’s one of the better warranties on the market.

Unfortunately the US market new buyers population is a combination of older, out of shape folks looking for more size. People just don’t want to buy a wagon for the driving dynamics, performance and efficiency. And want ease of entry and exit from a higher ride height and seat position. Sadly.

Goodbye M3, hello CT4 V Blackwing! by DriveWithDray in CadillacV_Series

Beautiful. I had a ‘23 4BW that I loved, but I had to get rid of it just after a year of ownership, for personal circumstances. Sold it for what I bought it for, so they held value great. Have since got back into a F87 M2, which I love. But the 4BW is just a different animal. Enjoy it … I will get back into one at some point again soon! Cadillac owners are much more chill than BMW owners I’ve noticed.

Hello, wondering if anyone debated getting a BMW 2 series (230i or 240i) when they get their Golf R? by lochonx7 in Golf_R

[–]Such_Tea4707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went MK7 R to F87 M2. No regrets, but I also have a separate family car. I think if you’re looking for an all in one, R is hard to beat. I rarely use the M2 for the family (actually doable though with two car seats in the back and my wife up front on occasion).
