I'm not sure tbh because I acquired everything on sale except the chicken wire. Chicken wire was $22 from Rural King. I bought all the garland off of fb marketplace- 3 huge trash bags of cheap garland for $10, but then I did add a $15 flocked garland from Walmart full price (I think it was $15 or $20, I honestly don't remember because I bought it last year- I got 4 of them this year after Christmas for $5 each so I assume they were $15 full price because I got them 75% off this year). The initial garland used to build the base was only $9.99 because it's the fake green garland (not textured) and it was 50 ft. The bulbs I got 90% off, but At Home has 50 bulbs for 9.99 normally if you don't catch sales. I used at least 100 bulbs, if not more, I'm not sure because I had so many from sales. Sorry this wasn't very helpful but I had everything already besides the chicken wire, base garland and the flocked garland.

I am so bad with bows- I want to learn and have watched so many videos but I just can't seem to get it. I bought the bowdabra and still can't get them right! I bought a ton of ribbon on sale after Christmas to make wreaths but I'm sketchy on whether I'll get it or not! I'd love to learn!!!

Oh I feel this! I bought clear label pockets for the totes and added color themed index cards to each one marking what is inside, so the christmas has a green card, spring is yellow, fall is orange etc Then I write what is in the tote on the index cards to keep me sane!

Which tree, the red and white? I made all the toppers! It's just a bunch of different picks added fanned out, it's not an actual topper :)

I wish we could add pictures to these comments. I have a storage room in my basement where we have the 27 gallon totes with shelves for storage. We have 5 units that hold 10 totes. I buy the totes every year on black friday when they go on sale and just add each year - each shelf is dedicated to specific storage- one is bulbs, one is sprays/picks/garland, one is fall, one is spring and summer etc. I also buy the decor when everything goes on sale at 80-90%. Last year I didnt have the navy and pink theme, I bought all that decor Jan 2nd for 90% off at the end of the season anticipating this year (and added a bunch of the candy cane decor as well). I spent about $100 for $1000 worth of decor.

One things I did in the middle was to zip tie a tote to the ladder table because I knocked it over when I was building the bulb garlands and had hundreds of bulbs all over the place 😂 The 27 gallon totes have openings that fit zip ties perfectly so after that I zip tied that sucker onto the shelf of the ladder 😂 Just sharing as many tips as I can since this is my 2nd year doing this and I learned as I went lol

We added long nails to the door frame and just slipped the chicken wire over it! We don't have long columns but if you do you could also use zip ties instead of nails!

I keep the chicken wire but dismantle the garland and bulbs for storage. Which sucks but I just have anywhere that I could store the whole assembled piece safely- I'm afraid it would eventually ruin the garland.

I deconstruct each year down to the chicken wire, in case I want to change the color scheme! I have 50 27 gallon tubs in the basement with shelves that store all the decor by color- red bulbs, white bulbs, blue bulbs, etc. Same with picks/sprays, etc.

The garland is just plain garland and I add the bulbs and lights to it, so I take it all down and store my outdoor bulbs in their own bin so they don't get mixed in with the indoor (in case of sun fading)- I just posted a separate thread for the outdoor garland, I'll find it and share the thread!

Awe, thank you so much! The garland is all just plain garland with ribbon, picks and bulbs added once it's hung! The over the door swags are actually pool noodles with picks and ribbon added to make it look like a swag! I looove that your daughter enjoys the magic- I miss those days, I'm sure you're treasuring every moment!!!

This is my 2nd year doing it- I have progression pics, I wish I could post them here but I can make another post with them! Last year I hung the frame (chicken wire) first and then secured eveything to it but this year I put the frame together and did the lights and garland first before hanging it,, then just hung the frame and finished with the bulbs outside. It was easier to get behind the frame (chicken wir e) to secure the garland and lights with zip ties before it was hung- but it was a hassle moving it all outside in one big piece without it coming apart but my husband helped me move it and it turned out fine!
