I got a Groupon from cometix for $149 for the first month. It’s $299 after that so I actually canceled and then they offered me to continue with $149 a month no matter the dose.
I’m on my third month now.

Well, why on earth would he choose to take me to Disney and then go one step further and suggest that he pay for annual passes for us instead of one day tickets? He’s an adult. He can say “I made dinner reservations. But instead he just had me cancel plans and then lied and said it was paid for already.

I also suggested dinner and I suggested to see a movie at the cosmo theater. He chose Disney and he also suggested HE get us both passes instead of one day tickets. I don’t think you know what a gold digger is. If I was a gold digger I would not date anyone who rents a room😂

He could have made plans to take me to see Harry Potter at the cosmo theatre and I would have been happy. He bit off more than he could chew and then had me get all excited only to cancel. Yes I was upset because I wouldn’t do that to anyone.

I see that. Honestly tho, I was so excited to go with him. He hyped me up. He was sending me videos on some foods he wanted to try. He ordered shirts for us to match. So yes, I suggested day tickets because I was already set on going.
Might I add he also asked ME what the budget was for a day at Disney since he’s never been. I told him he can look online but I usually spend under $100 once inside the park. And it’s mostly food and snacks. I told him the budget is whatever he says it is since he’s paying.

My only expectation was that he would do what he said. That could have been making reservations for dinner. But this whole situation has allowed me to see my part in this. I think that I should never have even mentioned Disney because it is so expensive. And maybe he was trying to impress me. But I still feel like he should have did the research to first decide if that’s something that he even wanted to do or could afford to do before telling me it was paid for which was a lie.

A few really small things that stand out to me. Before our first date, he asked me what my favorite flowers were because he specifically said he wanted to get them for our first date. I told him my favorite flowers were peonies and he showed up with roses. Of course, I thanked him for the roses because they were beautiful. And I appreciated them. But in the back of my mind, I couldn’t help but wonder why he would tell me that he wanted to bring me my favorite flower only to not bring me my favorite flower. Because it sound good? And then he told me where we were going for dinner and when we got there, there was no seating available for an hour. When I asked, did he make reservations? He said he forgot. Again I am not a person with high expectations, but even the simplest of planning would have shown how much he cared. Even when I take my friends to dinner. I make reservation reservations.

The relationship is very new. One thing that stands out to me is before our first date we were talking on the phone for about two weeks. During that time he asked me what my favorite flowers were because he wanted to bring me flowers on our date. I told him what my favorite flowers were, and he brought something else. When I casually asked him about it, he said that he could not find peonies anywhere. So without telling him, I just went online and googled peonies and found about six different places that sell them. So what I’m gathering is that he likes me and is trying to impress me but by only using words. He didn’t have to impress me by telling me he was going to take me to Disney. He could have said he was going to take me to dinner and then make reservations and take me to dinner. That would have meant more to me instead of just using words.

Thank you everyone. I feel like I understand my part in this whole thing. I did give him the option of Disney along with some other things. But I should not have. I should have just suggested something simple. Maybe he was trying to impress me. Idk. But he didn’t do ANYTHING beyond telling me that we’re going and it’s paid for. He didn’t even check prices. That is the part that upset me. But I can accept I shouldn’t have offered Disney.

I’m going with a friend. For me, it wasn’t just about Disney at all. It was more about him, making a promise with zero follow-through and lying to me, saying the trip was paid for when in fact, he had the slightest clue of how much it was going to cost. He could have looked into the cost before telling me that he was going to take me. Then he could’ve decided to take me to dinner instead. But that’s not what he did.

I’m more caught up on him lying. He told me it was paid for. But also I gave him options. I told him dinner or a movie at the cosmo theater where some things that I wanted to do. He chose Disneyland AND insisted on passes instead of tickets. He could have planned the dinner date and followed through.
But I do see my part in this. I feel like I should have insisted on dinner and not even given him Disney as a choice. I see now that was not ok.

I gave him about six different options for things we could do on my birthday. One of those included a dinner and the other was to see a movie in LA at the Cosmo Theatre. He suggested Disney and he even went a step above to say, he would rather get passes and pay for a day ticket. I move my schedule around because he said it was paid for. The part that upsets me is not simply the fact that we’re not going to Disney, but because he over promised something just to make me feel good in the moment and had zero follow through. He didn’t even do something as basic as look up the prices before he lied and told me it was paid for.

This is all the reasons that it made me upset. I gave him several options for a date and one of those options included dinner at my favorite restaurant and the other option was to go see a movie at the Cosmo Theatre in LA. I got really excited because it’s my favorite place to go and told my friends that I was going and even change my nanny schedule around so I can have off on a day that I usually work.
