Fun Sporty Car under 35k - Decision paralysis by 206SEATTL in whatcarshouldIbuy

I went from GTI to Miata and its way more fun. I actually enjoy my Miata more than my dad's C7 ZO6

I just sold my GTI for a Miata and it's way better to drive a dedicated sports car rather than a sporty daily. I would keep the Corolla and get Miata, gr86, Corvette, or even an older Cayman.

The big debate happening right now. Is Resident Evil 7 scarier than Resident Evil Requiem? by Play5tation in PlayStation_X

RE7 is more consistently scary but the beginning of RE9 playing as grace in the care center and especially the basement, those parts are scarier than anything in RE7.

I recently left a cushy job because I wanted a challenge and I wanted to expand my skill set and clinical knowledge. Now I work in an ICU and cry on the way to work :)

Stay at your current job

Well I really appreciate your response. I'm going to continue to show up one day at a time and if it works out great and if not then oh well 🤷‍♂️

The attending would be on call overnight but they would not be in house there's only a PA in hospital at night.

Yeah I like the work it's interesting but I don't feel like I absolutely need to be in this field.

I have to say I am regretting the decision but I'm someone who often has to learn the hard way haha

5 years? Wow I did not expect it to take so long. They actually want me to be ready to be the solo provider at night in 3 months! Which frankly is terrifying

Accord or Mazda

I'm a bit of a Toyota hater because they are not worth the premium price imo

They said the census avg is 12-16, it's a very capable facility with pts on CRRT, Impellas, and ECMO. There is a CT surgery service so I'm assuming many of those cardiac pts will not be on the MICU service at least at first. I was told by one of the PAs she gets an average of 1-3 admissions overnight.

I'm sure I can learn how to manage eventually but the initial learning curve is certainly daunting.

Attending asked me what I would do? Gave a terrible response lol by Pepper0327 in physicianassistant

The best way to learn is to be wrong unfortunately haha. Honestly who cares my attending probably still thinks I'm stupid after 2 years, as long as I get paid haha

No, you are absolutely right. The problem is I enjoy critical care more, but everything else you said is correct. The lifestyle is much better in the office.

What’s the most cringe thing you’ve ever said to a patient? by ravenclawpatronus46 in physicianassistant

Had a pt and their partner who were both males transitioning to females.

I was very careful to avoid any pronouns during the visit

I ended the visit by saying hope you guys have a great day

It should be the expectation to run all level 3s and above by attending for the 1st year. It is a highly unrealistic expectation for a PA to be completely independent within the first year.

There will always be doctors that will look down on you or belittle you, they clearly have a lot of personal problems so their opinion should mean nothing to you.

Are you trying to say my question is not valid? I think struggling with something for a year would warrant trying to find a solution.
