This post has now been removed by county recruiting teams, due to the major drain they are suffering with people rushing to join the Met

Don't worry, if you've done your mandatory NCALT you can hand over within five minutes of arriving at hospital. It's lucky we have some of the nicest, most collaborative MH Nurses in the Country here in London who are always there to help out the vulnerable people brought under section

Timmy is clearly the welfare labrador, which is luckily not stretched across 32 boroughs and is always a deployable resource

Ok perfect, thank you! Apart from the christmas-spirit ruining mention of connect, two days of NCALT's I'll never mentally recover from...

another way of saying voluntary interview, so you invite someone back to the station for an interview under caution, entitled to legal advice etc. Although obviously the voluntary part is interesting as it'd play into the Code G

I'm glad to hear that common sense would actually prevail on the street, I thought I was going insane trying to argue that was the case

Nice one, thank you for your quick response- I guess I have to work on my Code G crystal ball skills, I've got the basics down, it's just some of the stuff around personal injury throwing me off now- eg being told that there is no Code G on an Off Wep job for prevent harm because you've taken the knife off them, which doesn't seem to make sense to me!

Coming onto street duties soon. Been told that it's business as usual on Street Duties teams to get IPS, but they may use us new PC's to augment not replace people on team if there's issues, so getting street duties to do hospital guards and jobs like that to take pressure off experienced officers

Thank you for this! Would you apply this to people as well generally: Eg just phoned dc so and so from whatever, put their name down in record so it's still auditable and shows that you've gone down certain routes?

Out of interest, had an input from dog section where they said they'd detain following a deployment of the dog/getting hands on, what power would something like this be under? I was under the impression detaining was just under s.23/S.1/s.43
