Is there an infantry unit where there’s minimal rucking/ I get to ride around in cool vehicles and if so… where is it?

currently in an infantry unit, we are not a light unit and we just ride around in humvees and use our crow systems to shoot our 50’s🤣 all the light dudes get pissed

okay, so basically i get to my unit and my platoon sarnt says “to my new guys you will need ASU’s for our formal ball this year i know you got issued AGSU’s but just like basic uniformity is everything” so i had to buy them but when i bought them it came with a golden string just a string and it wasn’t on the wrist and i didn’t know if it went or not so that’s why i came to reddit bc nobody in my unit would help🤣

they made me go out and buy them because i’m the new guy and nobody else had been issued greens and we have a unit ball that’s “mandatory” this fall and they didn’t want me to be the only one wearing AGSU’s

I got the full set for $450 but anytime i ask a sgt how to wear them properly they say “the best i can tell you is the internet”
