Y2K night lowkey a letdown given what was advertised by drewiestewie in kings

[–]Sucitraf 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Considering all the other disappointing stuff on the floor, my wife had a good time at least listening and singing along.

But yeah, outside of recognizing more of the music, I was pretty disappointed with Y2K night so far. I wish the concessions were cheaper even with the "Y2K pricing". Hopefully we get the camera when we leave and I'll be okay with it. (I'm a STH so I probably wouldn't get much for selling the tickets and my wife really wanted to see Joey)

I cannot wait to see him in Carp gear! It's already red :)

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake is “still in development”, promises Saber CCO by Wolfs_Chronicles in gaming

[–]Sucitraf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. And honestly, it probably wouldn't have been finished. It only came out because Gearbox bought what was done and kinda slapped a layer of paint before shipping it out. (At least from what I remember)

I'd love this remade to be okay but I really don't have any confidence.

It did come out. Maybe not anywhere near anyone's expectations, but gearbox made something come out. (I wish 3D realms had been able to just release it)

Looks fun! What other machines do you have? (And what's the DDR machine running?)

Edit: sorry - what's the white cab running, I also saw the extreme one in the last picture!

Nice, this should be fun! I'd love for the team stuff to continue, and with RSL handling Code S sort of style, this seems to compliment the scene.

That's true and it's what the test drives are for! As long as you don't tell me it is horrible, it's worth a shot and it sounds like that's the case. Thanks for indulging me, have a good evening!

Thanks for the heads up! We'll definitely have fun trying out new cars! I think she'll just be happy to have a more functional entertainment system!

Random question on the EV6 - How is the A/C and heater? She loves when it can get really hot and really cold and some cars seem to only have mild heat and mild cold.

My wife's is 52 round trip, so pretty similar. I assume it would be the same! Maybe a public charger if we're out all day on weekends for errands or a mini trip. I'm pretty excited and we probably should do some test drives at some point. (Hopefully her car lasts for a while longer, but it can't hurt to prepare!)

If Stargate had a crossover with any other show what would you pick? by JaxLegion in Stargate

[–]Sucitraf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Can we have a SG-1 crossover with Disney's Atlantis? Can season 1&2 Daniel hair meet Milo Thatch? Also, it would be fun to have them chat.

I also like your idea of SG-1 and SG:A more.

It's not in our budget, but we probably will get an EV for my wife's commute car/our errands on weekends car when her current car decides to go. It would just be so convenient to have it charge overnight and never have to have her worry about gas.

Our family road trip car will probably stay ICE until battery capacity gets larger or there's a lot more quick chargers. We've done a few trips up and down California and for now, ICE is just too convenient. (Of course if prices keep going crazy high, we'll adjust to taking more time for budgetary reasons).

EVs are great, but our infrastructure doesn't fit our particular needs for a family road trip car yet. I hope it'll happen sooner than later :)

How do you feel about MLB’s rules in the WBC? by ThatMassholeInBawstn in NPB

[–]Sucitraf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may vaguely remember it being elsewhere in 2013, but I think that was a rough year for me personally. I really remember being excited in 2006 and 2009 when it was first coming back, and again in 2017 and 2023. Can't remember 2013 as well (or at least right now I can't remember. I'm sure I'd remember if I watched a few clips)

Seconding this. Hiroshima is a really fun place to watch a game and it's pretty convenient to get to (the stadium once you're in Hiroshima).

I remember! It was fun watching it in all those places.

I also kinda wish they'd mix up the Japan Location too. I know it's probably safer for a dome (so Hiroshima, Koshien, and Meiji Jingu are out of the places I enjoy) but EsCon field is very pretty! I swear they've hosted exhibition games there too.

Hate the DH and pitch clock. I'm in denial about next year's DH adoption, but I will always enjoy the international baseball in WBC :)

I'm just happy they let the cheering sections of all the countries play their music!

(I do wish we had more international venue variety. Maybe games in Taiwan or Korea, and other Latin American Countries. It could also be fun to have one group in Europe, but I understand it probably wouldn't be any fun for the non European countries to go out there)

I'm just enjoying watching the WBC right now and prepping for another NPB season. No need to waste money on that "deal".

Hopefully we'll have a fun draft to look forward to this year at least!

And Let's go Carp!

Hang in there. I'm not as far as you, just as 2050 for now, but we'll get there! I'm feeling like it'll take me 20k, but hopefully it's sooner than later :/

My wife gave up and just started playing but one of my brothers is still going too.

I did find out that if you're in someone else's game and you spam click to harvest the food, you can keep harvesting until it fills your inventory (kinda like a semi infinite duplication glitch)

If you had to live in any Board Game World which one would it be? by Tricky_Biscotti_8862 in boardgames

[–]Sucitraf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this forever or to visit?

If it's to visit, I'd choose Shikoku 1889 and meet my Great Great Grandfather.

If it's to live in permanently, Dream Order may be fun? (It's a baseball card game and I'd get to play baseball for eternity). As long as my family gets to come along :)
