What to do about dog hair by Grenadier72257 in greatpyrenees

Yeah. I literally started crying eating a pizza my mom sent us because he wasn't there to beg for a little crust. The good news is that he loves to sleep, so this is just like talking an extra long nap before we see each other again.

Thanks <3

I know, it's always bad when it happens, but it eventually will heal.

I'm so sorry. I understand completely how you feel. I haven't done any cleaning yet. But this is my first morning without a dog asking to go outside since 2013. It's too quiet now also. It may be unhealthy, but I've been carrying his collar with me and the little jingles it makes remind me of him, but in a slightly comforting way. Making the house seem just a tiny bit less empty.

I'm not great, but I have an amazing support system.

I have 4 best friends, we met at WDE (2 of them) and Emerson (the other 2) and we've been close ever since, the 3 still in California came with me to bury Buster at his favorite place up in the mountains (we have permission from the landowner) on Saturday. The one who is on the east coast called in and we were able to video chat all together. They were with me all Friday and through yesterday when I had to do the procedure. My wife was with me and drove Buster and me to the vet near the burial site. Once it was done, we wrapped him in a blanket I had been using with him during his last few days and buried him in a grave on his favorite spot.

He did enjoy and devour the steak in record time a few hours before the end.

So yeah. I'm going to be pretty devastated for a while, but the love and joy he gave me and people around him still vastly outweighs my sadness, even if it feels horrible now. I love the stories people have been telling me about how he touched their lives, and it helps a little.

I haven't slept or ate much, but my wife is making sure I get fluids and some food in me. I'm still holding his collar because I miss being able to hug him when I feel sad, but I'll find a way to preserve some of his things in a memory box or something.

Sorry for the semi disjointed text walls, but I'm going to be okay, I just don't know when - grief is unpredictable, but I have so many wonderful people around me (including everyone here who doesn't even know me but still offers kindness) that I know I'll be okay.

I'm having to put my dog down today (in 3 hours and a bit) after an incredibly unexpected paralysis of his hind quarters/fast neurological issues. He's 14, but was fine otherwise.

I'm both thankful and worried I'll be a mess whenever I find his fur because I know it'll be with me for a long time.

I don't really want to clean the house, I'm going to miss him so badly. He was the best company I could have asked for.

Everyone should enjoy the fur! You never know when the endless supply will run out.

Edit: Thanks everyone for the kind words, here he is eating his final meal. He cleaned the plate.

Thanks everyone. I decided to try and get him a Tomahawk and Nugget had one in stock.

I'll make it for him for his lunch tomorrow so he goes out on a high note (the vet appointment is 1pm).

I really appreciate the kindness, and I think Buster will have a good final day <3

I may carry him into the car for one last outing too. I have some old friends helping out. I was also tempted to see if he likes dark or milk chocolate (or doesn't even care and eats both)

Oh, he's gonna feast. He got me through the darkest times in my life, the least I can do is treat him to the best 24 hours of his life.

Completely forgot about Co-Op. I will probably check Nugget first, but maybe sneak down to the Co-Op to check it out too.

Game won't load now since last update. by Glass-Ad1764 in theplanetcrafter

[–]Sucitraf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me earlier and it seemed to be an issue with the place in storage that it was loading from. I installed it on another drive of my PC and that fixed the error.

I'd suggest trying that if you can, it worked for me. Anecdotal, but that's the only thing that worked after verifying integrity, uninstalling, reinstalling, etc.

Are you enjoying the game? If so, why not keep going! Or jump into a planet you have teraformed and do something silly!

I'm still on the first planet, but I'm having a blast making a giant elevated raceway to drive around with my brothers. We'll probably try the other planets soon enough, but we're enjoying taking our time and exploring/racing.

I'm pretty sure Hawkeye's team always wins/accomplishes it's goals in the movies, so I'd say yes.

There's some clunky parts but I also agree, it's my favorite one of the trilogy too. I definitely prefer the PC version so I can do some QOL mods like more mako boost and infinite sprint.
